Gutes nigth:

Ich fordere Entschuldigungen, ist mein Englisch arm und lamentabel spreche ich nicht Deutsches.

I didn't find the place where you post your threads off topic..., for that reason I post here...

I really need your help.

My brother and me are working in the virtual reconstruction of the church of Saint Charles Borromeus in Humaita, destroyed in the Paraguay War (1864-1870) when my country battled with the Triple Alliance of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

That church was built between 1855 and 1861 and was designed by the austrian architech and militar engineer FRANZ WISNER VON MORGENSTERN, who came to Paraguay, contracted by the paraguaian government.

That church was one of the biggest churches in America in that time considering its incredible proportions. After the destruction of the church in 1868, and the occupation of Asuncion (the capital) by the tropes of the alliance, many documents and files was stole. With that files, we loose the original planes of the church for ever. Anyway, we have many reasons to think that the style of the church tapeworm strong influence of the used architecture about Austrian and German churches.

I want know, if you have threads about austrian churches, with photos, styles or, if somebody can help us more specificly, we gonna be very thankful.

Thank you very much..., Danke !!!

I think Norbb will start a new thread about churches in Vienna within the next days.

There was an exhibition in the "Architekturzentrum Wien" in 2006 about austrian architects in Latin America.

Franz Wiesner von Morgenstern.

Hm, he is not very known in Austria. As I found out, he emigrated early to Paraguay and had quite a good life there.

Is that what you mean?
