NAPRED March 15th, 2011, 05:49 AM Great photos. Looking very nice.
With the overall construction of the Stadium, if im not being too nosy, has it so far been considered a success in terms of OH&S? In other words have all the workers involved gone home to their families free of injury (zdravi zivi)?

Doesn´t look like that. There´s a considerable number of rows that will get wet. Even without wind.

MrYoung March 24th, 2011, 08:59 PM It will look great once all the seats are in!
ayanamikun March 24th, 2011, 09:08 PM They shouldn't have missed the chance of boxes in the new stand though. Although for public owned stadium it really isn't that much important, it is still the only stadium in the country that can host high profile events. Perhaps in the future.
smokiboy March 26th, 2011, 06:38 PM Stadium looks great so far. I'm just wondering about that row of apartments in front of the stadium, were they there before the stadium was built? The whole complex would have looked better without that row. Any particular reason why they are right there?
Carlo5 March 27th, 2011, 10:54 AM I think you get wet to row 15, maybe higher. That's a pity, but it is a nice stadium. :)

alex_zebe April 5th, 2011, 12:18 AM How steep are the stands?
Filip MKD April 5th, 2011, 07:18 PM I don't know how much, but as you can see they are very steep:D.Reason for that is because the plan for the stadium was very old but it wasn't realized for a long time. There was just one tribune finished with very steep stands,so they had to make other 3 tribunes like the old one(with steep stands). However this isn't a big problem...
FoSsiL-mk April 6th, 2011, 12:21 AM Actually it can be a big plus. It makes the atmosphere and the ambient better and specific, special, whatever :D Anyways many people who have been there or seen it have said that the ambient on those steep stands is great...
Junkie April 6th, 2011, 01:20 AM Atmosphere is awesome but the south and north stands are very very steep! Anyway stadium is just cool!
Evil78 April 6th, 2011, 10:04 AM I don't know how much, but as you can see they are very steep:D.Reason for that is because the plan for the stadium was very old but it wasn't realized for a long time. There was just one tribune finished with very steep stands,so they had to make other 3 tribunes like the old one(with steep stands). However this isn't a big problem...
Who said that it's a problem??? On the contrary! Especially if there's only one tier. Spectators have a much better view if the stand is steep.
The problem is when the stands are not steep enough and the upper rows are a mile away from the pitch.
One bad example is the stadium in Bordeaux (and many more...):
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3131/gb25nq9.jpg
http://www.football-pictures.net/data/media/282/Stade_Chaban_Delmas_FC_Bordeaux.jpg
Or many old style, single-tier american stadiums, like the Rose Bowl:

http://www.rosebowltickets.net/images/rose_bowl.jpg
NAPRED April 6th, 2011, 02:30 PM Very true, the single tier steep stands will be fantastic. That is what makes this stadium! Nothing better than steep stands. One of the best stadiums is The Santiago Berbabau. Doesnt matter where you sit, you're right on top of the match, only difference is it has 5 tiers, magnificent!http://www.football-pictures.net/r-football-stadiums-154-europe-football-stadiums-158-spain-football-stadiums-170-santiago-bernabeu-319-santiago-bernabeu-jpeg-2147.htm

Becouse we haven't got big and modern stadium witch can pass the European standards and before this stadium had capacity of 18 000 people and was the biggest stadium in the country and it was shame for Macedonia and Macedonian football. Here is how the stadium looked like 3-4 years beforehttp://www.jens-frank.com/macedonia/skopje/10-skopje-city-stadium.jpg

NAPRED April 21st, 2011, 03:24 AM Now im interested on the grass/turf. Will it be re turfed? This is most important for the players and how it will be looked after. Especially during snow season in winter when the ground has turned to mud in the past.
This IMO is where attention should be focused on now!

FoSsiL-mk April 21st, 2011, 09:32 PM The first opening was in 1947. It is quite an old stadium. But now it has its second opening, with all stands built, and the first one renovated. NAPRED April 23rd, 2011, 02:43 PM How many seats are given to the away supporters? I think no more than 2000 or 5% of the total number of seats, which might add up to about that. 5% for wawy fans is standard at most grounds.
FoSsiL-mk April 23rd, 2011, 03:10 PM Usually the East stand was given to the away fans, before the reconstruction started.
But now, the East stand can hold ~7500 fans. So idk. For sure it would be the East stand, but how much seats, idk... it depends...
NAPRED April 24th, 2011, 03:46 AM The point I'm trying to make us that we shouldn't give the away supporters more than about 5% or about 2500 max. To give them the whole east or west us ridiculous in terms of giving them an advantage as an away team. They play away and should feel like they're playing away! Should be a small section of east or west stand in one of the corners.

I totally agree with you.Even if we gave 5000 seats for the fans of the away team. Also there is little chance so many fans to come from away countries...
NAPRED April 26th, 2011, 02:06 AM When we played Scotland there were about 5000 and there were only about half that number of seats available. There will be a similar number of Irish. FFM should allocate a maximum of 5% of whatever the number of total seats in the stadium!

Ayceman June 24th, 2011, 02:50 PM Maybe in an extended definition, but there's a reason why the term South-East Europe appeared. Balkans includes Greece, but excludes Slovenia and Romania, while SEE includes Romania and Slovenia, and excludes Greece.

No, Romania is included in both regions: Balkan Peninsula (because of Dobrudja) and Southeastern Europe (because of the other regions). See the map of Romania. End of off-topic.

learn geography; it is true Romania is often included, for example even Slovenia and Turkey are (sometimes Italy too because of Trieste), but the country IS located mostly OUTSIDE the Balkan Peninsula.
only 2 counties from 41 are in the Balkans: Tulcea and Constanta! a small portion; 900,000 people, even less than 5% of country's total population
dont confuse the things, we respect the great Balkan people, but we also want to keep our origins. i dont like people like you who think only their opinion is good, while the geographers say totally different!
so, probably the best stadium of the Balkans is in Athens, but the one from Skopje is also great!
Macedonians can be proud because it is the best stadium from an ex-Yugoslavia country

Don't worry about my geography, but about your English: county doesn't mean country! The Macedonians may hit you because of that, OK? :bash:

dimi28495 June 27th, 2011, 08:51 AM Good Luck to Rabotnicki in the Europa League. They have signed six new players so far including former national team player Vlatko Grozdanoski and U21 captain Goran Bogdanovic. Also they have signed Vladica Brdarovski who was best young player of the half season along with three quality players. I really hope they do well they have always done great for Macedonia in the past by bringing big teams like Bolton and Liverpool to Skopje. GO RABOTNICKI and also good luck to Metalurg and Renova in their matches.

The plan is to renovate the field and put new athletic track.
FoSsiL-mk March 15th, 2012, 07:42 PM Actually, this thread should not be in this section. The stadium is still not completed. What they completed was only the first phase of the construction works. Now they are in the second phase (the pitch and the athletic track). And there is also a third phase, when the stadium will be fully completed: putting a facade, illumination, details etc...

Yeah, I don't think it will be done in time for the friendly vs Dinamo and from what I've read it doesn't look like the match will be happening. But it will be done for sure in time for the European Cup matches. Hopefully, Vardar and Rabotnicki make it to the Macedonian Cup final so the first game at the stadium is a real competitive match.

I read they messed up the drainage system and had to re-start. Also, something about the sprinklers being in the wrong place.
