It looks very simple and cheap :( If they wern't so simple, they will be too expensive and customers wont be able to afford them ( Given that they are meant for middle and upper middle class, not for rich people, rich people in Rabat live in other areas and would never settle for an apartment in front of bouregreg in the middle of the city ) dakhla October 15th, 2011, 09:20 PM Abu Dhabi's Al Maabar launches apartments at The Arts District in Morocco Text size ABU DHABI: Al Maabar, Abu Dhabi’s regional real estate development company, in partnership with Morocco's L'amenagement de la Vallee du Bouregreg, has launched a new range of apartments in the Arts District of its Bab Al Bahr development in Rabat-Sale, Morocco. The first of the 390 apartments are scheduled to be completed in June 2012, Al Maabar said in an emailed press release. Surrounded by gardens and green spaces, the Arts District will host a variety of residential buildings, a five star hotel, boutiques, as well as a wide range of art galleries and thematic museums. Designed by renowned UK-based architects "Foster and Partners" whose architectural style for the development was inspired by the narrow streets of the ancient medina of Rabat and Sal?, the Arts District will see a maze of pedestrian alleyways leading to the Place Bleue, a lively public square located in the heart of the development. "This is another significant milestone leading us towards the completion of this outstanding project that will set the benchmark in mixed use developments in Morocco. The prime location of the Arts District in the heart of the iconic destination will provide world class lifestyle, with a wide range of residential and retail facilities that work in harmony with local heritage and environment," Managing Director of Al Maabar Yousef Al Nowais said. Bab Al Bahr - Al Maabar’s development in Rabat, Morocco in partnership with l’Agence pour l’Amnagement de la Vallee du Bouregreg – recently witnessed the opening of a new model apartment in the River Front area of the project. The apartment, a 211sqm, three-bedroom with high-end luxury finish quality, sophisticated interior design and two terraces, has remarkable views of the Bouregreg River and the historical sites of Oudayas Kasbah, Hassan Tower and the medina of Rabat, providing the public with a tangible, first hand opportunity to see the unmatched lifestyle that the Bab Al Bahr development has to offer. Al Maabar said major works on the project’s Marina Front and River Front esplanade reached near completion stage, with 98% of major works at the Marina Front and 97% of major works at River Front finished. Technical and architectural works are well underway as per the planned schedule of infrastructure and construction milestones. Bab Al Bahr offers a diverse, mixed-use community of residential complexes, hotels, leisure areas, office spaces, shops and art galleries in the heart of the Bouregreg valley.
