The 250-room Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh and the 80-unit Ritz-Carlton Residences, Riyadh will be located on King Fahad Road. The hotel will have five restaurants including a pool outlet/grill in addition to a lobby lounge and cigar lounge. Recreational amenities will include a health and leisure club, a spa with separate male and female facilities, and two swimming pools with outdoor seating area. The hotel will also offer 69,500 square feet of public space for social events such as weddings and conferences, a business center, 24-hour room service and retail shops. The Ritz-Carlton Residences will also have a residents’ lounge.

Designed by Echo Architects, the Ritz Carlton Hotel in the middle of Riyadh represents a new landmark next to faisaliah and mamlaka towers. Echo architects have been heavily working in the Middle East with offices in Amman, Riyadh and London.The Design is been developed in consultancy of Buro Happold from London and supported with their office in Riyadh. They are advising on the structural, environmental and Facade engineering.

Tender issued for Riyadh towers


The Saudi-based Al-Yabes Real Estate company has issued an engineering, procurement and construction tender for a tower project in Riyadh.
The project, estimated to be worth SR1bn ($237m), comprises two towers, measuring 43 storeys and 19 storeys in height.

At least four local contractors have been invited to submit bids for the work.

The bid deadline is scheduled for the end of December, but according to a contractor considering making a bid for the work, this is likely to be extended as the tender documents are not complete.

It is the latest in a series of towers being planned for the capital. The Arriyadh Development Authority is set to approve the design for at least eight high-rise towers in the centre of Riyadh. The towers are in the commercial area of King Fahd Road and range between 40-80 storeys high.

this project aside with kingdom jewelry & alrajhi tower can do nothing till the new air base runway complete (sorry i forget the name of it).

According to RiyadhCiti.com (just another newscast I assume), Alriyadh Tower, also containing the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, is supposed to finish by 2011!! Meaning in a YEAR! Do we have any signs of progress? I know Riyadh Sun and jh1 are in Riyadh.... Any photos you guys can provide?
