Fiddlerontheruf December 1st, 2003, 11:45 PM ahhh Europeans...please understand that skylines do not always make a cool city. St. Joseph looks like a pretty cool place, and it has some interesting old architecture. But I do agree with you that it does lack in the skyline department, even though it's not bad for a city of 70,000. 6/10
KCDevin December 2nd, 2003, 12:09 AM oh, and btw, it has another 14 floor building plus all the churchs you see are over 100 feet.
Kaneda December 2nd, 2003, 06:49 PM The churches is nice. ;) 3/10
jtown, man December 3rd, 2003, 11:47 PM Its interesting that it has elevated highways for a town that small. IT looks like a nice place to retire.:D
KCDevin December 4th, 2003, 02:39 AM they are not only elevated, but I believe they are one on top of hte other. That is what I think they should do with the highways around KC...
Fabio January 5th, 2004, 12:11 AM 2/10
skyline :?
Jasonhouse January 6th, 2004, 12:45 AM There is no skyline.
It gets a 1.0/10 only because it has one building that is 12 stories or more.
KCDevin January 6th, 2004, 01:41 PM ...
it has more than one. none of those shows its "skyline" that isnt the whole city.
the skyline is closer to the missouri river and those photos overlook it for some reason.
SeeMacau January 9th, 2004, 03:41 AM No skyline !! Only some nice architecture in the city
5/10
KCDevin January 10th, 2004, 05:29 AM eric, did you see my post above? these photos down show its (downtown) which has several buildings over 9 floors. Plus more churches.

skylines don't always make a cool city indeed, but we're talking about Rate Our Skylines here. 3/10
Imperfect Ending January 10th, 2004, 09:53 PM what....skyline....
PegRules04 February 8th, 2004, 07:47 PM Sorry St. Joseph, nothing against ya'll, but since we are to be rating skylines here......you don't have one. 1/10
ayelt March 3rd, 2004, 10:01 PM Oh no!! We lost the Skyline!!! Do you know where it's hide?!!:bash:

KCDevin March 5th, 2004, 12:10 AM Lol, I can't even remember why I posted this??? hmm, I must have been bored...
AndrewC March 5th, 2004, 02:57 PM Well actually i don't think this place even has that much nice architecture. I like that tall building though 3/10

Schroedinger's Cat March 7th, 2004, 07:38 PM Yes, this building is nice, I like very much this kind of american architecture, but unfortunately the city has only one tall building, so I cannot give a higher note.
ArchMadness March 13th, 2004, 06:00 AM 4/10
Why oh why does Missouri insist on building the ugliest interstates in the nation. Why the hell did they build an elevated highway like that here anyway. St. Joe's is only good for its history.

Agreed.

mauiboy63sea July 15th, 2004, 05:21 AM St. Joe...whm? 3.5? Besides St. Louis and KC, I'm sure there is another city in MO that has a more impressive skyline. But since I'm working my way up the poll I should eventually find it. Joplin maybe?
CborG July 9th, 2005, 01:17 AM Doesn't look pretty, even for an american city. 3/10
hauntedheadnc July 9th, 2005, 11:44 PM I think it's nice enough. Looks like there's an abundance of well-cared-for old brick buildings, and the city appears to be nicely dense. 6.
chris9 July 10th, 2005, 12:06 AM The skyline is mediocre 4/10, but it is a city of 70,000. It neverthless has impressive transport infrastructure for a town of that size
SoboleuS July 10th, 2005, 08:57 PM Almost no skyline ;) 4/10
KansasCity#1 July 14th, 2005, 05:10 AM Its interesting that it has elevated highways for a town that small. IT looks like a nice place to retire.:D
it is less then 20 min from downtown KC
sfenn1117 July 14th, 2005, 05:36 AM These midwest cities are depressing. It would be phenomenal if the high rise condo craze going on across the rest of the world made it here. Until then, this gets a 3.
skylover July 14th, 2005, 09:23 AM There's nothing to look at.
