ahhh Europeans...please understand that skylines do not always make a cool city. St. Joseph looks like a pretty cool place, and it has some interesting old architecture. But I do agree with you that it does lack in the skyline department, even though it's not bad for a city of 70,000. 6/10

oh, and btw, it has another 14 floor building plus all the churchs you see are over 100 feet.

Its interesting that it has elevated highways for a town that small. IT looks like a nice place to retire.:D

KCDevin

they are not only elevated, but I believe they are one on top of hte other. That is what I think they should do with the highways around KC...

There is no skyline.

It gets a 1.0/10 only because it has one building that is 12 stories or more.

KCDevin
January 6th, 2004, 01:41 PM
...
it has more than one. none of those shows its "skyline" that isnt the whole city.
the skyline is closer to the missouri river and those photos overlook it for some reason.

Yes, this building is nice, I like very much this kind of american architecture, but unfortunately the city has only one tall building, so I cannot give a higher note.

Why oh why does Missouri insist on building the ugliest interstates in the nation. Why the hell did they build an elevated highway like that here anyway. St. Joe's is only good for its history.

St. Joe...whm? 3.5? Besides St. Louis and KC, I'm sure there is another city in MO that has a more impressive skyline. But since I'm working my way up the poll I should eventually find it. Joplin maybe?

Doesn't look pretty, even for an american city. 3/10

I think it's nice enough. Looks like there's an abundance of well-cared-for old brick buildings, and the city appears to be nicely dense. 6.

The skyline is mediocre 4/10, but it is a city of 70,000. It neverthless has impressive transport infrastructure for a town of that size

These midwest cities are depressing. It would be phenomenal if the high rise condo craze going on across the rest of the world made it here. Until then, this gets a 3.
