Looks like there are alot of Bumbay there in Singapore, do they speak chinese language too or all of them speak english? I am not sure what the official language in Singapore. The weather is pretty much similar to the Philippines but I think its warmer there at this time of year compared to what I experience now in Manila. 'BUMBAYabas' are everywhere in Singapore. I think a large percentage of Singaporeans are Indians and speak Indian (Hindi?) too. According to my former work colleague who has kids in elementary school in SG, they were taught Chinese in school. In my case, there was no visa required. Singapore has four official languages; English, Chinese (based on Mandarin), Malay (Bahasa Melayu), and Tamil (a south Indian language). But everyone speaks "Singlish," a Singaporean creole interlanguage native to the country and in the neighboring Malaysian state of Johor Bahru. I've mastered to identify which South Asian guy is actually a citizen or a PR from foreign workers. Yes I gotta agree with Kimber. Although there are a bunch of buildings on the rise now, older structures are having their own major facelifts too. Hokkien is still widely spoken especially between older Chinese generation. And aside from Brunei, which we're only allowed to stay for 21 days, RP passport holders can stay a month in all ASEAN countries. Nice photos btw Bong. I actually have met a singaporean from an online english teaching class I use to help tutor foreign students who were studying english. I don't really get paid for it but there was me, a singaporean, an australian, canadian and another american providing english classes online for mostly chinese, korean and thai students through video and sounds. Singapore seems like an interesting place, i'm interested in visiting it one of these days. Singapore is really nice. It's the greenest city I've ever seen (as if I've been to many cities in the world :lol:). I never find a street that is not lined with trees on one or both sides. Sidewalks and center islands are all manicured. I remember posting a photo of a canal full of floating rubbish once. The government also allotted a portion of Hong Lim Park (Chinatown Area) to be the city's own version of London's Speakers' Corner which is aptly named... err... Speakers' Corner where one can stage public demonstrations, speeches or public debates. But only Singapore citizens are allowed to do so tho. The following photos is the City Hall station. The platform sides have full height stainless steel & glass wall with automatic sliding doors that opens when train doors open as well.
