I don't like Mr.Angawi , I've seen him in couple of magazines and TV channels and I disagree with the guy on a lot of the things ( especially the house which he claims to belong to the prophet -peace be upon him- and all that ) , however , I'm very confident that if they picked Foster they will workout these issues and problems and solve them somehow ( like the sound system problem mentioned in the article ) .

At time of the islamic state the muslim architects and designers where famous for having the best and most beautiful buildings now it seems the corrupt rulers now have to go to places like europe to get designers what a shame!

This is an issue. Non-Muslims aren't allowed into Makkah. A non-Muslim can do the designs but that would create problems since they cannot follow up on the actual construction. But Muslim designers, how could I say this in a nice way? Well, they suck! Compared to European designers, they don't have a clue about the alphabet of designing, at least most of them don't.

they maybe are preparing to redesign the central area "al shamyah" and not al haram al sharif i am sure there are something misleading or misunderstanding what we should to do is to wait the official report!
