purplerain08 April 10th, 2012, 09:41 AM Is this project already completed?
ChaoticTranquility April 10th, 2012, 06:20 PM Trashing notwithstanding, but this building is downright HIDEOUS. It completely detracts from the iconic simplicity of the current National Assembly building, the materials looks so embarrassingly cheap, the curved walls look nothing like the boxy protrusions shown in the renderings and for God's sake - a beige extension to a white building? Who the Hell okayed this?
To make matters worse, this debacle is far behind schedule. I was told that the offices were supposed to be filled in the first half of last year, and now it's April 2012 - oh, what do you know, this is Kuwait: where dreams come to die.
What a shame. If the government, planning authorities or whoever is in charge don't give a Kuwaiti institution and icon the recognition it deserves, then what about the rest of the country?

KWT April 11th, 2012, 02:11 AM I know, it looks like a cheap seaside hotel in Sharm el Sheikh
