Greetings, everybody. I am a new user here and I am happy I found this forum. I checked some of the threads for Athens and I searched for a thread for Xaidari (Haidari, Chaidari), but I could not find. I would like to ask any of you who has pictures from this part of Athens to post them here. I have been there 2 years ago on a visit and I really enjoyed my stay. I saw many beautiful places and took pictures but something went wrong with my camera, so I lost all the shots :ohno:

So, if anyone is willing to share sights from there, I would highly appreciate it.
Thank you :)

No, not a girlfriend - I was invited on a wedding :) Really great wedding, lots of food, lots of dancing, lots of fun (and drunk greek people) I miss this time, you know. Great memories and this girl Anastasia ... And the worst part is that I lost all the pictures I took with my camera :( I am desperate, help :)

That explains it! ;-)
Because, if you exclude Palataki, Haidari has zero architectural interest...

Then post pictures from Palataki, please. I don't remember much the names of the places I went :/ I saw a monastery, a tower, a nice botanical garden, and I don't remember what else. It was exciting by all means, not only because of the girl :)

xaidari fun i suggest you should not have very big expectations about getting the pictures you want to see as xaidari is not realy a place that someone would like to take pictures.
im with you tho and ill try to fish anything on the web for you but i must tell you its not an easy task.
people help xaidarifun, somebody must have some pictures

Well, I do want to go and take some of Palataki...maybe during the holidays...I don't know much else about the area...although I used to have a girlfriend there a couple of years ago, too! ;-)

There was a program on ERT-World (Historic Buildings ?) about this site a couple of months ago.

The place has been restored, event the original fire places have been restored on the inside.

The Municipal Authority has also purchased period furniture to furnish the various rooms in the house.

Nice work !
