Nice thing. I am hoping once they are up, the prices will be affordable unlike South Mumbai's towers.

I don't know why they make such ugly parking lots at the base of such elegant buildings.........they cud hav also gone up wid the regular design and look of the buildings.

My Thoughts exactly, I always see a nice new building design and then see parking underneath it which just makes it look ugly. I dont understand why they cant just build underground parking like everyone else

The progress is good.

This would certainly become a landmark for the area.

DB fudged a lot of their NOC

thats why Dalal street gave them a hard time. I would not be so trusting of that.

The builder's perspective:

a) Lower construction and maintenance costs

b) Flats close to ground level have low selling prices. Why not build parking at the lower floors and sell an expensive view to every resident?

Orchid Woods seems like a massive structure since there is no other skyscaper near to it. Is there is any other skyscaper u/c in Goregaon?

Yeah....Looks very massive...I find the fact that it is 190m hard to believe, may be its because there are no other buildings around it.

Lots of fairly respectable sized residentials coming up in Goregaon.

I have a question, while buildings in South Bombay typically are built on old mill lands, what is this built on? Former old middle class lowrises? Slums?
