Why don't you give us a summary about the article in English if it doesn't bother you?
Marcelo Victor December 25th, 2008, 03:59 PM very nice stadium
VelesHomais December 25th, 2008, 05:33 PM looks currently more like a pre design.
Whats the chance to be built?
The chance is quite good, because Dynamo has to upkeep its prestige level and not fall behind FC Shakhtar with their new world class stadium.
Arsenal, on the other hand, was bought by some big shot millionaire who has been talking about them getting a new stadium for a long time now. If both go at it together, there should be no reason for this not to happen. Can't say anything about the timing though.
VelesHomais December 25th, 2008, 05:39 PM 32000 m2 total construction area
9000 m2 total area
Capacity 50,000 exactly.
Then it talks about the location and legal stuff about who owns the land and what is there now. It's a property of the ministry of defense now and will have to be sold by the government to make way for the stadium (that won't be fast, I guarantee).
The end is a lot of technical stuff for the cement, the foundation, the roof specifics etc. those are too difficult to translate :D let's wait for the English article
JYDA December 25th, 2008, 07:20 PM What's the typical attendance for these two clubs?
Imperfect Ending December 27th, 2008, 08:48 AM I don't really like the bubble thing
mihai_alex December 27th, 2008, 10:17 AM What's the typical attendance for these two clubs?
2007-2008
6 FK Dynamo Kyiv 8.383
10 FK Arsenal Kyiv 6.910
But of course a new stadium would really rise up the attendance.
It would be a big step forward from the 16000 track stadium on which the 2 teams play on.

The attendances for this season are even worse:
11. FK Dynamo Kyiv 7,344 (12,500)
16. FK Arsenal Kyiv 1,925 (4,500)

any known reason for the drop?
michał_ December 28th, 2008, 10:07 PM piece of quite recent interview:
Ukrainiansoccer.com:
Last week Arsenal president Vadym Rabinovych stated that there is progress in the process of obtaining a land lot for building a new Arsenal stadium and that he would not mind building the stadium together with you. Whats your opinion about building such an arena?
Ihor Surkis: I talked to Vadym about this and we discussed such an option. We will need to review the proposed concept. We should not separate ourselves into Dynamo and Arsenal if we were to build this arena it would be for everyone in Kiev. Two relentless opponents Milan and Inter are playing in the same arena and are able to share it.
We should develop the concept and make sure the pitch can handle the load. We should make sure that everything is provisioned for fans from Kiev and all of Ukraine. From this point of view, such a stadium is worth building. If we build it together, we can make it much more advanced, since we use the resources from both sides. Thus, I think, its absolutely normal.

VelesHomais December 30th, 2008, 03:21 AM For major games Dynamo can draw crowds over 50K, for regular games the attendance is low because of crappy stadiums, some hooligans and bad security. These things are undergoing major changes now. For instance at Donbass Arena there will be separate sectors for members of various fan clubs / ultras and for families that just want to enjoy a game.
patroeski December 30th, 2008, 02:17 PM Isnit Dynamo Kyiv going to play in the renovated Olympic Stadium??

Maybe no derbies at home matches yet...
VelesHomais December 30th, 2008, 04:22 PM Isnit Dynamo Kyiv going to play in the renovated Olympic Stadium??
Only for finals when attendance will reach 80,000
psper December 30th, 2008, 11:59 PM any known reason for the drop?
Arsenal played in the Olympic Stadium but now its renovating and they have not an other good stadium in Kiev.
Arsenal had some attendances over 30k last season in the Olympic stadium...

So how come their overall attendance was at 7 000? Then there would have to be no crowd at all at some games (?)
or is the data produced by EFS wrong?

I meant only a few matches over 30k attendance, so they have potential and fans...
I remember the biggest attendance in Ukraine last season was Arsenal - Zarya Lugansk with over 40k people:lol:

understood. So why do you think it may be that so few people come on less atractive occasions?
Capital78 January 2nd, 2009, 05:03 PM And who will use the Olympic stadium?
psper January 2nd, 2009, 10:41 PM And who will use the Olympic stadium?
national team, i think
Jim856796 February 16th, 2009, 03:59 AM Along with the renovated Olympiysky Stadium and this new stadium, there is also a plan to increase the capacity of the Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium to 30,000 seats from 17,000.
lukaszek89 February 23rd, 2009, 07:58 PM Like the stadium;) Dynamo is big club, deserves for big stadium. Hope they will buil it:)
likasz February 26th, 2009, 01:00 PM ^^ now chance
CSKA is much better than Dynamo is and they will have a 30,000-seater, because big matches they will play at Luzhniki.Dynamo can play with Shakhtar at Olympic Stadium.
PaulFCB February 28th, 2009, 07:16 PM CSKA is from Russia, Dynamo is from Ukraine...at least if it was the USSR, Dynamo Kiev was its biggest club ;).
Of course, Dynamo is the only big club in Kiev while Moscow has loads of them.
Cracovia March 2nd, 2009, 07:07 PM why dont they save money and say build a 25K-35K stadium. And for big games they can use the Olympic stadium makes sense to me. 50K is just too big with an average attendance of 8K
bigbossman March 3rd, 2009, 12:43 AM ^^ ownership?? you will get all the revenue from the big games if you can play them at your own stadium. Also i have a feeling that football will grow to a level that the Ukraine and Russia will be the first and only port of call for eastern europeans wanting to step up. So i can see the growth of the game their facilitating maybe full houses every week at the big clubs...
PaulFCB March 3rd, 2009, 04:58 PM I thought Dynamo Kiev is actually very rich and they could afford building a new stadium on they're own. Not saying about the 50k one, but they're Lobanovski stadium is just like Dinamo Bucharest's a disgusting one.
Shaktior that are from a poor working class city also have a very rich owner and now have a 50k ultra modern stadium, the Olympic is big but has a terrible view, don't the people from Kiev care about it?
NMAISTER007 May 19th, 2009, 05:30 PM this would have been an awesome stadium for euro 2012, but it would have been way to small to host the final :ohno:
PaulFCB May 19th, 2009, 05:41 PM 50.000 is enough to host a final Ernst Happel had 50.000 same did De Kuip.
NMAISTER007 May 27th, 2009, 06:05 PM Yea but the you cant have 2 stadiums in one city to host a Euro cup, even if they would have chosen then they would have still chosen the Kiev Olympic stadium cause its bigger.
michał_ May 27th, 2009, 11:51 PM Yea but the you cant have 2 stadiums in one city to host a Euro cup, even if they would have chosen then they would have still chosen the Kiev Olympic stadium cause its bigger.
actually you can have 2 stadiums in one Euro city, but this would have to be agreed earlier on, now it's too late.
NMAISTER007 June 3rd, 2009, 07:56 PM yea but i have a question about this stadium. Is this a completely brand new stadium, or are they just going to reconstruct the Dynamo stadium into this??
Jasse James June 18th, 2009, 08:26 PM This one is new, but i think it is not be build.
P.S. Sorry 4 my english
NMAISTER007 June 18th, 2009, 09:46 PM This one is new, but i think it is not be build.

Correction:
This one is new, but I think that it's not going to be built.
They might start after all of the financial problems have been solved.
Ukraine September 14th, 2009, 04:20 AM ANY NEWs??????????????
VelesHomais September 14th, 2009, 04:48 AM Don't expect anything to start within 2 years.
Maksfromnowhere March 27th, 2011, 05:17 AM Heard from reliable source from Dynamo that club is planning reconstruction of their club stadium after Olimpic stadium is completed
TigroZavr March 31st, 2011, 12:44 AM Well then get that Olympic will be idle.
