The surrounding area isn't too dirty if I recalled correctly.........there is a hotel......and an office building next to it ....... then there is the highway.......how dirty can it be....there isn't any wet market or street vendors also :? ;)

I also think this is the best Empire Tower picture as it has a perfect sky for photography......you could only get such shots in the morning ( that means I would never have taken such shot as I am not a morning person! :D )

I have been into the Empire Tower before, to my Dad's business partner's office... This was way back in the mid 90s... The building is just one corridor in the middle, with all the office suites lining both rows... Something like a hotel-type concept... There were two elevator cores at the ends and another one in the center.

However, the view from there was superb! This was because the office was on the 43rd floor...

Actually it had a few 'dead' pixels (actually not too sure if it is dead pixels or dust) ....so I send it back to claim warranty loh ( since got warranty mah! :D ). I dunno leh....already 2 months liao........Anyway that day someone from Nikon called me to ask me about the camera's problem.....I guess they are fixing it already :? I think the shop gave them late lah! :bash:

Yeah....for SLR if got dust then it is easy to clean because I could release the mirror and start using the blower. ;)

The dot is as big as your pizel size loh.......very small but noticeable for night pictures.......have to show ya lah :)

Believable lah..if you search at emporis.com, there don't seem to be any buildings taller than 238m completed in 1994. CitySpire in NY was completed in 1994, too and shorter than Empire Tower :)

CitySpire in New York was actually completed in 1989 and is 248 m high. The next tallest to be completed in 1994 after Empire Tower is the Shinjuku Park Tower in Tokyo, only 5 m shorter.

I visited the Empire Tower when on holiday in KL. It's one of my favourites in Kuala Lumpur. I like the simple shape, the slimness of it and the glass at the top. Here are two photos I took on a cloudy day in Dec 2003.

It looks like it could use a scrub, especially on the lower left corner!
