^^ This development was not conceived by the current administration; I remember corresponding with one of the people involved a year or two ago and he told me that this particular development was designed and was brought up in the Niger Delta Forums, I am not sure the current state of the project.

Unusual development city masterplans are springing up everywhere in Nigerian which is a good thing to note. I hope all is realized as planned.

Delta State part of the Niger Delta is relatively peaceful, my family are seeing dualisation of major roads in Warri, Effurun, Ughelli, Asaba and other large towns in the state. Developement work is going on at the Airport site. Plans are in place to extend the Osubi ariport. Developement will come to the fore in the state. Things were dire a few years back.:):)

they wanted to extend the runways years ago but couldn't because it is a private airstrip and private airports in nigeria can not have runways longer than 6000 feet.

Report on the news point out that the communities in the area are lacking the basic infrastruture. How are they going to cope when this plan is executed while they are gradually faced out of the communities. There's need to address their problem first before going on about the project in the area.
