just spoke with ger and they said it is delayed. does anyone have an idea how delayed it may be?

This will take at least 30Months to Build so completion End 2011 earliest.

Does anyone have photos of OPAL they can share ?
It is G plus 20. Would that take 30 months? (I have no idea)

I was down at OPAL yesterday. Work was going on but very little. one crane, a digger and other minor machinery. I have photos i will post soon.

Where did you get all that info? personally I have never seen anything like it, looks good to me. I should really pop down and have a look at the site. I guess it will be about 2 years to hand over... what do others think? or will they even build it?

Bizzy Bonnita and 234 sale... I am a little miffed as to why we are the only ones who visit the OPAL forum! Do you have any units here ? I do and i get the feeling that I may be the only one !! Saying this FGB havent come to me for any payments as it is as per construction. Thanks for the photo, they seem to never have many on site. Maybe they are using it as a practice / training ground for their machinery operators!! what are your thoughts gents ?

maybe not every one is posting things because there is not a person that owns a unit in this project that knows about this forum. not many people know about this forum and they are in the dark and dont know what is going on with their property. i honeslty feel like we are one big family. i was told about this from FGB i think this is the only good thing that came out of them. lets wait and see what fsafarini does at rera and will take the next step all of us together dont worry i love eveyone in this forum we have helped eachother very much thanks

My primary interest are the projects in Business Bay. This interest is both professional and personal as I am also an investor. I update every site here which I also use to show companies I deal with whats going on.

Any thoughts on the progress here ? I was at the site 2 months ago but not since. I know the tower is only mid rise around 20 floors so that should help in completion time. Speaking of which any idea of expected completion date ? 24 months ?

what date was your photo taken ? just want to compare to the previous ones for progress. I presume GEP will update their site shortly for the sept progress report.

holy shit those 5 workers are doing a great job. imagine they had 100 of these guys! Spotting a worker on the Opal site is like finding "wheres wally".
I got a feeling that a payment is due when they reach ground level! don't have my payment plan with me. good for GEP hope they continue this pace.

surely that is not opal tower! can someone confirm. Comparing the photo previous it is opal tower. They are moving along nicely by the looks of it. Shoud see some good progress. On a tower like this I would expect a floor a week or so. If so I think they will be looking for an installment from me sharpish! fingers crossed they are so unorganised that they forget!!

A floor a week is a fair pace and I am happy that they are building it. Don't seem to be many interested in this tower for some reason yet FGB are going at it on the construction. Hope it continues. Anyone got any thoughts or ideas about this tower?

^^ It's close to many supertall / skyscrapers. It's design is good, not ground breaking.

Most importantly its under construction, which speaks laods compaired to developments that crashed and burned.

Looke like this tower is still progressing at one floor per week. Thats a respectable pace and hope they can keep it up! It is around 25 floors so they have 15 or so to go. Could this be ready in 12 months???

Very true, the speed at which this project is moving forward is very fast indeed. I presume it is shell and core. Might be an idea to see them slow down a little. There do not seem to be any / many investors on this page. I wonder if FGB are leasing the building as a headquarters and therefore want to see it finished?
