almost everytime I play SC4 if I have a disaster or if I zoom in really close the game just shuts down! I've heard problems before with the game not very compatable with certain computers but damn, my computer is barley 1 year old. I'm running XP with a 2GHZ processor and 512 MB of memory, is that not enough??? Is there any setting anyone knows about that can help me out??? The more my city grows the slower it runs and the more it shuts down on me. any help would rule.

Dont you know you need an IBM Deep Blue II to run Simcity 4 - dont worry they only cost around £20million and are unique :D

Change the graphic options - I run at a speed similar to yours on my laptop, but have all grfx to low and that allows me to build my 6,000,000+ region with a city that is also 1.6million peeps.

What video card do you have? Make sure its compatible, and sufficient. Also, check your system tempuratures.
