^^ Thanks for posting! Thats too bad that this hotel is only 72m tall on a such a piece of prime land. :(

IMO a 400 footer would have fit into the skyline perfectly in this location. Which means a lot coming from someone who still believes Shangri-la is 50 feet too tall.

does this building honestly need its own thread?

Probably not, but I don't know whether it'd be appropriate just under "general updates". Maybe there should be an "other highrises" thread? The Toronto section has threads for every single building, subdivided into forums for high-rises and lowrises, but I guess they have a lot more forumers/posts.

:ohno:
It seems that most of the time things like this need their own threads. People go off in every direction and it seems as if it is hard to stay on topic.
I agree though, I really don't think this one needs it's own thread. But then again, I am new and what do I know???

It's fine, guys......

We don't want to put everything in one thread. Reasons why you think it is unnecessary for its own thread:

1. Almost completed
2. Not updated often enough

If it's up to me, I would blow this sucker up and replace it with a 300m tower.

I was just walking by this building today and it struck me how utterly invisible it is, and will be. Maybe they wanted it to be "understated" on the outside and fabulous on the inside.

Looks nice but not tall enough...heck it's even shorter than that black building built in the 60's or 70's.
