As much as I like highrises, but they should be clustered in certain districts. In Istanbul they seem to be rising everywhere these days, regardless if it's in a lowrise neighbourhood or immediately behind historic structures.

It's not that far away from the existing cluster in Levent. It's going to be part of the Sisli skyline and if we are a bit optimistic it is quite realistic that one gay Sisli and Levent clusters will grow together. But in general you're right with the skyscrapers popping up around the city outside the main clusters :/

Istanbul will be like Hong Kong.Several skyscraperclusters.Not central like in London,Paris or Frankfurt.Sisli will be in future a big skyscrapercluster (Mecidiyeköy/Bomonti) is growing very fast and there are several other skyscraper projects.

Levent / Maslak / Aslantepe / Sisli will be skyscraperclusters on the european side of Istanbul.Atasehir and Kartal will be new clusters on the asian side.

The current situation shows only a few towers. But in between, many projects are u/c or approved. I marked to location of Bomonti Residence Tower with a red circle:

so it's right next to the Sisli cluster. No? BTW very nice design. Istanbul's skyline is growing fast even though the crisis still exists.

Why man? They all look great from the sea. And as long as the high-rise construction is growing, it's getting better and better. Istanbul skyline is AMAZING man.

Because i usually don't like the contrast between historical buildings and modern high-rises right next to (or behind) them. i am afraid we won't be able to see Hagia Sophia from the sea one day bcs it will be surrounded by modern highrises. Believe me if they continue to pop up in any district regardless of whether its an historical one or not, it may kill the spirit of the city. Don't get me wrong i'm not conservative at all, of course high-rises will be and should be constructed but just not everywhere. I work in Levent and really like it there, but Bomonti really shouldn't be the place to build those.

Yes i agree but why do you afraid so? The skyscrapers are too far from Sultanahmet and and the Hagia Sophia. I think there's nothing special to be hidden by the high-rises in Istanbul. I do agree that they must not build anything near Hagia Sophia but the location of this skyscraper is some kms away of it, no? Thanks. Indeed Rossy de Palma is marvelous. :)

^^ I can't find any info of the height either but 43 floors is usually around 155m and this building has a heliport on the roof so it should be over 150m.
