FREKI January 27th, 2009, 10:23 AM To begin in 2011.... :(
I'll betcha the NIMBY's will kill it long before that...
But if they don't it does look like i has potential - I just don't understand why they don't use renderings rather than some mini foam cutout/paper that will has very little with the final result to do and is most likely not even in scale...
/Grumpy mode off/ - looks great
That will be some habour entry - first you pass those 3 towers in Hellerup, then down to the 5 towers around Langelinie where the southern towers from Sydhavnen, Ørestad, Valby and downtown should be visible from the cruiseline decks and ferries
And later with the northern habour and hopefully industrial site on Amager being renewed there will be even more... :)

It's much cheaper than actual renderings :ohno:
Agree it's going to look great - how far from the Holl project are the towers located? Will they ACTUALLY form a cluster? :)
I know the NIMBY's are complaining, but please tell me why - isn't Langelinje pretty dead and boring?
Spearman January 27th, 2009, 08:56 PM NIMBY's will complain about anything they can possibly find any (and I do mean ANY) excuse to complain about for the simple reason that they know as well as we do that if people see beautiful high rises that work, it will erode their recruitment.
On the building I really want to say it's fantastic, but I'll wait for something more concrete (like a real render) with windows and lines - they can do a lot for the appearance of a building (both positive and negative).
firewater January 30th, 2009, 03:27 PM I agree, great potential and a it's a beautiful model, but better drawings have to surface soon.
IMHO don't worry to much about the "organic" crown. I personally believe it could look swell.
Btw there's a section cut of one of the towers on Kim Utzon Arkitekter's homepage

And the base is looking quite interesting too!
Insane alex January 31st, 2009, 02:05 AM WOW! Looks insane!
AW January 31st, 2009, 12:17 PM Great heights and three towers in one project is really cool, but what an awful design. They look like the facade is melting and falling apart. Sometimes thinking outside the box isn't the way to go.
moveteam January 31st, 2009, 01:04 PM AW: wait until better renderings surface (:
DenverDane January 31st, 2009, 01:46 PM I guess this is the kind that you either love or hate. I haven't quite made up my own mind yet... Like others, I would like to see some more quality renderings first. But it's definitely different, and I think the architect deserves some credit for that!
It would be very interesting to see the towers in combination with the Holl towers.
Hviid February 4th, 2009, 01:57 PM i late it :) ... or hove it .... (mix of hate and love... hate the design, love the height and the idea.)
sapmi_ February 5th, 2009, 01:26 AM Looks like something inspired by WTC... after the planes crashing into it. :ohno:

As said I don't think we can conclude anything on the design before renderings surface :)

Þróndeimr February 25th, 2009, 05:33 PM I think the design looks really great, can't wait to see the real renderings, this might become the my favorite Scandinavian highrise proposal currently up and running!
LoveCPH February 25th, 2009, 08:53 PM Weird design!
Grauthue February 26th, 2009, 06:28 PM ?
I'm not able to picture how this would look in a final version from a model like that. I prefer renderings. Could be a very interesting project. Or then again, maybe it will stink.
I also think it's really important how it will fit into its surroundings

Oh please. It's evidently hard to figure out: Wait for ACTUAL renderings :)
dancle March 11th, 2009, 10:29 AM UGLY:lol:
I think it's to early to say anything like that. This is just a model and it's very hard to tell how it's going to look in real life yet... But I think with glasfacades it's going to look awesome....
Ingenioren March 11th, 2009, 03:09 PM I really like these organic designs! Thumbs up from me... ;D
Talls April 8th, 2009, 09:30 PM Looks aweful imo, but hey its a world class architect, so it MUST be cool :omg:
