I need help from the forumers here. I recently finish my SPM in 2008 and now waiting for my result. I am hoping to become a pilot or at least venture into the aviation industry. I'm still lost where do I go after this to pursue my ambition.
So anyone willing to tell me the road in becoming a pilot?? Any help is much appreciated.

Wow, 15 years repayment period with AirAsia?? Does that mean you have to work with them for 15 years??
Anyway, is it fun to be a pilot? I always like civil aviation but never wanted to become a pilot. I had this urge all of sudden.

What is SPM?

SPM stands for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, translated as Education Certificate of Malaysia. It is the highest certificate for Secondary School of Malaysia, before going on to university or college.
It is equivalent to British GCSE and O-level if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know how exactly things work in commercial aviation, but you should take some beginner's flying lesson at a local airport (like I did), and then try to get a license after you've gained some experience. I think that there are also different types of licenses, because I only flew propeller-powered aircrafts, which does not prepare us fully for jet-powered aircrafts.
