KALKAN - LaVanta Town - u/c

http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr151/maddox0753/cepfoy-2.jpg

Welcome to LaVanta!
We’ve all dreamed of owning a slice of the good life. Somewhere sunny and relaxed and close enough to the coast to taste a whisper of salt in the cooling sea breeze; where time becomes a curiously irrelevant detail and the real world seems pleasantly distant – for a while at least…

Return time after time: the advantages of second-home ownership

Kalkan is a special place; many of its visitors return year-on-year, for longer periods of time, and dream of owning their very own Kalkan retreat. In fact, second-home ownership is on the increase here - as it is throughout Turkey - as investors seek to capitalise on an exciting emerging market.
The Ease of LaVanta: your dream home as a smart investment

LaVanta provides the perfect opportunity to own a beautiful home in an unspoilt area with tremendous investment potential. Imagine returning here time after time to experience everything the region has to offer, whilst benefiting from rental income for the duration of the extended summer season and enjoying capital growth on your investment with the passing of each year! Properties can be bought off-plan, with staged payments to suit individual circumstances and, should you choose, you can re-sell your home in the future, with no capital gains liability (after five years' ownership). Full property and rental management services can be accessed remotely, via the Internet.

An Investment for Life: continue to enjoy the advantages of a luxury second-home

LaVanta carries great cachet locally, occupying a superb position and being designed, constructed and finished to the highest standards possible - it's a highly prestigious development and properties here will undoubtedly continue to carry a considerable premium. Secure your second home in LaVanta now and you could be enjoying the fruits of your investment for years to come!

Up Market: a tranquil second-home with all the on-site amenities

At LaVanta, you can enjoy the best of both worlds: your own tranquil, self-contained home-from-home with ready access to a wide range of on-site services and leisure facilities, yet only a short stroll from the sights and sounds of picturesque Kalkan.

A Home-Away-From-Home: modern life in a traditional setting

The complex itself is simply stunning. Modeled on the traditional vernacular, the homes are designed to reflect the unique character of the area, with varying roof heights and exterior profiles. Inside, the villas and apartments are unapologetically contemporary; each layout carefully planned to meet the needs of a modern family. Priority has been given to the creation of space. Inside, large open-plan living, cooking and dining areas provide a perfect multifunctional family space, whilst en-suite bedrooms offer much-needed privacy. Outside, a stunning piazza at the centre of LaVanta radiates out to a range of community and social areas, with plenty of opportunities to meet and mingle and to enjoy the magnificent hillside setting.

Relaxation is assured: amenities to take care of all your needs

Temptingly cool swimming pools are available for all residents to enjoy and adults can happily indulge in pampering spa therapies, while their children are safely entertained, courtesy of the resident crèche and babysitting services. Free transport to and from town - as well as to the endlessly sandy Patara beach - is a daily perk, but restaurants, bars and shopping facilities are available on-site if you feel like conserving your energy for another day!

PORT KUNDU
http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr151/maddox0753/port_kundu_linkk.jpg

http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr151/maddox0753/harita.jpg

Location

Port Kundu is just 15 minutes from Antalya City Centre and the International Airport. The project, in the Antalya Kundu region, is located where the Aksu River flows into the sea. Kundu has become a prime investment location with its increasing value through projects based around tourism that not only encompass the area but gain multitudes through its perfect geographical location.

http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr151/maddox0753/port_kundu1.jpg

Port Kundu – a project by MEDITERRA in Antalya, a first of its kind. Just like the example of the world famous tourism spot “Les Lestanques de St Tropez” in Port Grimaud of St Tropez, Port Kundu is the promise of a rural town life along a water’s edge. The project is drawn up by architect Xavier Bohl – renown for his projects of water-side settlements - and offers many alternatives to those who prefer a privileged life. Whether you pay frequent visits to Antalya on business or just for pleasure, enjoy Golf or whether it is just your love of nature and the environment, Port Kundu will surely bring many colours to your life. The more time you spend at Port Kundu, the more you will realise what a fabulous choice you made in favouring this extraordinary location.

http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr151/maddox0753/port_kundu11.jpg

http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr151/maddox0753/port_kundu12.jpg

The Rhythm of Water

The essence of the project is what emerges from the very heart of nature: water.
Port Kundu - There is the fundamental abundance of water in its land and location; there is water in its entirity. Using the idea of the indispensability of water, the architect has based the project around the banks of the Aksu River, surrounding our Port Kundu homes with
free flowing water. The lake fed by the water canals of the town, gives energy to the project, claiming to be a first in Turkey! Surrounded by sources of life-giving oxygen, this residential area is not only the guarantee of contentment, but also of a joie de vivre.
Mediterranean Architecture

Have you ever dreamt of a life in a town-by-the-sea? Dreams can come true at a place where the river reaches the sea, where Mediterranean Architecture reflects in the aura reminiscent of Kaleiçi in an extra-ordinary project… A project signed off by famous Mediterranean architect Xavier Bohl. A project where homes in small and secure streets have gardens, parking facilities and a spectacular view of water and green mountains.
Port Grimaud – another example of the famous Bohl ecole – showed how the spirit of Provence can flourish at the waterside. The architect has used water to blend and complement colourful architecture and awe-inspiring landscapes. There exist many other important pieces of work of Bohl in France, Libya, Dubai, Tunisia and Turkey..
An active lifestyle at the Port Kundu Club

Not only does Port Kundu offer you a comfortable life in the centre of a natural environment, but also presents many amenities to pursue a healthy lifestyle: A sports complex; fitness club, open-air swimming pool, running and bicycle tracks are all a part of “Port Kundu Club” – the prime destination to spend quality time with family and friends.

Antalya wins bid to host Expo 2016 event

Antalya won its bid on Wednesday to host the botanic event of the prestigious Expo 2016.

The southern city was declared the winner of a race to host the botanical branch of the Universal Exposition, which is also known as the World’s Fair.

The head of the Union of Exporters of Antalya, Osman Bağdatlıoğlu, who went to Zaragoza in Spain to represent the Expo Organization Committee, announced that the Mediterranean city was the winner.

Bağdatlıoğlu said that Antalya lost the bid to host Expo 2014 to Zaragoza, but won the host status for 2016.

“It was an extremely tight race,” said Bağdatlıoğlu. “Antalya failed to win the host city status for Expo 2014, but the Turkish team has succeeded at what was seen as unattainable.”

He added that not only the city, but the country as a whole, will profit from the victory.

“That is not a project only for Antalya,” he added. “This is Turkey’s project.”

Antalya won the bid with its theme, “Children and Flowers,” and will host the Expo for six months in 2016.

Last year, the western city of İzmir campaigned for Expo 2015, but lost to Milan, Italy. Bağdatlıoğlu underlined that the two Turkish cities were not rivals, competing in different branches of the Expo.

“İzmir lost the bid for the industry sector of the Expo A1 category,” said Bağdatlıoğlu. “Antalya is going to host a bid in the same category, but of the botanic branch.”

Bağdatlıoğlu said that Antalya has been working seriously on the project, adding that efforts grew particularly intensive over the past three months.

“We worked really hard not to witness a repeat of what happened to İzmir,” said Bağdatlıoğlu. “There were serious efforts put forward by our committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Bağdatlıoğlu also acknowledged that about 100 countries participated in voting and that Antalya won the backing of “many countries from Malaysia to the Czech Republic.”

Bağdatlıoğlu added that the committee expects eight million tourists to visit Antalya during the six months of Expo 2016.

Time to update the thread after 7 months, eh?
Unfortunately, I'll start with bad news :gaah: awful truth hurts;
Eski Otogar: Cladding is completed but the construction works are halted.
Forum Antalya, Sports area, Schools area and Antbirlik are cancelled.
Doğu Garajı: Construction is halted due to discovery of hellenistic foundations.
Antray: It's completed and opened to public, but it also cause traffic problems.

nuff said, Now the good news;
- Işıklar Caddesi is renovated, the renovation projects will continue on Şarampol, Güllük and Mehmet Akif Caddeleri.
- Yivliminare, the landmark of Antalya renovated and its mosque is opened to pray after years of boring renovation period.
- AntObüs, the public transport bus service owned by Municipality launched with 40x12m buses and 7 effective lines. 140 buses more to come.
- The zoo will get a great renovation after decades of opening to public.
- Olbia Canyon and around Minicity(Miniature park of landmarks) will get a great renovation too with a new aquarium.
- Lower Düden falls will get a recreation.
- Eastern beltway's construction goes slow, but currently, process is a bit fastened.

and finally; Antalya goes to Solar Energy!
