The new "Ion Moina" stadium will have a capacity of 35.000 seats and will be built by the municipality. It will include a Hotel and maybe a Arena right next to the stadium that might host the Womens Baschet World Cup in 2013.
Also a urbanistic project to help the zone will be put into application as soon as the stadium will be finished.

brasil2014 February 3rd, 2009, 05:18 PM I like so much the tower and the facade and roof. Looks wonderful! If Romania will be bid to Euro 2020, looks perfect to be host of the event.
alex_zebe February 4th, 2009, 02:09 AM I like so much the tower and the facade and roof. Looks wonderful! If Romania will be bid to Euro 2020, looks perfect to be host of the event.
I also like the tower, it's funny there are people who actually hate it. I guess it's a matter of taste.

The stadim is supposed to cost EUR 45 mil, including the office/hotel building beside it and a multifunctional hall/indoor arena.

Livno80101 April 13th, 2009, 11:59 PM ugly, too big distance between stands and field, not compact at all, tower is unnecessary
alex_zebe April 14th, 2009, 10:42 AM ^^The space between the stands and the field is necessary, as the stadium will not be a football-only arena and it will have a track. There was another design, without any track which didn't look as good as this one.
The tower in my opinion is not a bad thing, it's the same for me with or without it. However, the tower makes the stadium a bit more special, as the design of the arena is pretty common.

Bobby3 April 15th, 2009, 04:23 AM I wish that more clubs in Eastern Europe would build stadiums without tracks. It would make the matches easier to watch and more fans would show up, meaning more revenue to make the leagues better.
It's a shame so many are built with the running tracks.
PaulFCB April 27th, 2009, 08:56 PM The stadium is built by the municipality not by the club. Of course, everybody hopes less stadiums will have tracks :(.
The problem is not that the clubs are building stadium with tracks, CFR Cluj ( the other team of Cluj ) built a stadium with no track.
As the municipality paid all the money for the stadium, I guess its in they're interest to have a athletics track so they can host other events. As for the club ( Universitatea Cluj ), it has big financial problems and they are playing in the 2nd Division right now. But at least they're fan base is much larger then CFR in the city.
Anyway, at least the stadium will have 2 tiers so the view on the upper tier will be lets say, acceptable.
alex_zebe April 29th, 2009, 07:30 PM The construction is set to start in July and set to be completed in 2 years time. The exact capacity of the stadium is 30.596 seats, from which 29.648 at tiers and 948 in VIP boxes. The new stadium will have a 4* UEFA ranking.
The contract also includes a sports complex in nearby Jucu village (Cluj Metro), with a football training field, four tennis courts, four other-sports fields, a six storey, 120 rooms hotel, spa, fitness and treatment centres, and a lake.

ccfc-4-life April 30th, 2009, 03:50 PM in one picture it looks like a golf putter, but nice looking stadium
alex_zebe May 1st, 2009, 12:10 PM The first two proposals for the stadium in Cluj.

The first design won the bid due to the lower prices, but then it was modified to accomodate the tracks, and that's how it got to the final project.

Fallen May 1st, 2009, 08:25 PM I like the fact that in the scale model there are trees all around the stadium and that the area is green and nice. How much do you want to bet that there won't be any trees or vegetation planted there? Probably a lot of cement and some more parking spaces.
Or maybe my eyes don't work properly and those are not trees...
NEWWORLD May 1st, 2009, 08:46 PM I like the project, it would be smart to put parking garages underground - might be more expensive, but definately well worth it to keep greenery around.
alex_zebe May 1st, 2009, 08:47 PM I like the fact that in the scale model there are trees all around the stadium and that the area is green and nice. How much do you want to bet that there won't be any trees or vegetation planted there? Probably a lot of cement and some more parking spaces.
Or maybe my eyes don't work properly and those are not trees...
I don't think either that new trees are going to be planted, but neither will trees be cut down for this project.
A good thing is that "Aleea Stadionului" (the street in the vecinity of the old stadium) will be closed for cars after the new stadium is built. It will be part of the park, as it was some decades ago.
I like the project, it would be smart to put parking garages underground - might be more expensive, but definately well worth it to keep greenery around.
AKAIK, parking lots are going to be built underground. I'm gonna search some info about the parking spaces.
LE: There will be some 3000 parking places, from which 200 under the stadium. The others will be built near the multifunctional hall. It seems that no greenery will be touched.

There are 2 sets of designs of the stadium and tower with this proposal, which one was chosen?the one with more cuts on the facade or the one with less?
alex_zebe May 5th, 2009, 04:47 PM ^^The design with the rectangular tower and less cuts on the facade was chosen, in my opinion the best looking. I wasn't really fond of the triangular tower.

alex_zebe June 23rd, 2009, 12:37 AM The construction is set to start in July and set to be completed in 2 years time. The exact capacity of the stadium is 30.596 seats, from which 29.648 at tiers and 948 in VIP boxes. The new stadium will have a 4* UEFA ranking.

The construction of the sports complex near Cluj costs about 36 mil. euro. The media here says that the new sports hall (7.000 places) that is going to be built next to the stadium costs 64 mil. euro. That's way more than the stadium.
alex_zebe June 23rd, 2009, 05:22 PM Some renders of the new sports hall planned to be built next to the stadium.

mamangvilla June 24th, 2009, 12:12 AM nice stadium design, i like the roof and how it is incorporated with a building. don't like the athletic track tough, it makes the north and south tribunes stands too far away from the pitch.
alex_zebe June 24th, 2009, 09:04 AM I don't like either the distance between the pitch and the tribunes, but, as I said, tracks were needed. There's another stadium in the city with no tracks:

mihai_alex July 16th, 2009, 06:02 PM Very good.
Let's hope this stadium will be used in the first division.
alex_zebe July 16th, 2009, 06:30 PM With the new owner of the team, who promises performances on an international level for U Cluj, chances are high that the team will be in the first division in the next 2 years. U Cluj fans really deserve this !

Yes, when the project was presented they said that the new sports hall will be able to host hockey matches. Also concerts, conferences, martial arts competitions, ice skating, gymnastics, tennis, futsal and others. And the obvious basketball, handball and volleyball matches.

nebunul October 25th, 2009, 04:00 PM ^^ How could this improvised stadium be better?! Come on, let's stay in the real world, shall we?! :poke:
The stadium is built by the municipality not by the club.
Anyway, at least the stadium will have 2 tiers so the view on the upper tier will be lets say, acceptable.
alex_zebe October 25th, 2009, 05:53 PM It's better only because of the lack of the running track, but that's about everything that C-tin Radulescu has on the new Moina. Still, CFR will remain one of the best stadiums in Romania.

nebunul October 26th, 2009, 01:45 AM With all due respect for CFR ... I don’t like especially the big stand – upgraded just to fit in more people; no architectural thought what so ever – just numbers/money. And for that reason I don’t like it.
Yes - it's a great team, yes - they have great supporters, yes - it has loads of seats etc BUT that is not a stadium. Not how I consider a stadium to be like ... anyhow
U Cluj will have a truly world class stadium

bigbossman October 26th, 2009, 02:51 AM ^^ are you having a laugh? It's more of a stadium because it's design isn't uniform, it has a character and is unique, and is built for football. Thus is good!

alex_zebe December 15th, 2009, 08:36 PM Yes, I do. Just look at what's going on at Stuttgart's main stadium right now!...
That's just what I've been thinking the last weeks. Romania will most probably bid for an Euro within the next years and Moina's capacity will have to be increased. And Stuttgart's stadium is a great example.

Most elder people in Romania are in one way or another commie nostalgics. This is the mentality here, sadly, I don't think it involves any brain difficulties.
alex_zebe December 16th, 2009, 03:46 PM Oh dear...This has been discused before.
1. The National Stadium is also being built by the state, and it doesn't have a running track. And Lia Manoliu was not a football player, she was an athlete.
2. If you have been to Cluj you would know that there is a park in the vecinity of the stadium, with running tracks, swimming pools, tennis courts, rugby, football and minifootball fields, basketball, handball and even athletics halls. There's a place there for each sport.
3. If they decided to build it with tracks, I hope to see some international athletics competitions here. That would justify the building of the running tracks.
4. Still, it's a great thing they are actually buillding this, with or without a running track. There aren't many such examples in Romania.
Try to keep it English please, there are people reading who don't understand Romanian.

Although I prefer football stadiums strictly dedicated in comparation with the olympic stadiums, I'm agree with you, this is the stadium of municipality not the stadium of "U" Cluj football club.
SubZ3r0 December 16th, 2009, 04:59 PM Although I prefer football stadiums strictly dedicated in comparation with the olympic stadiums, I'm agree with you, this is the stadium of municipality not the stadium of "U" Cluj football club.
excuse me but this doesn't have any logic, if this is the stadium of municipality then why didn't they make just a track without football pitch ? The football pitch for which team is done, not for the team of the city which is U Cluj ?
alex_zebe December 16th, 2009, 05:04 PM SubZ3r0, the stadium is not made strictly for U Cluj. The new Moina will be the city stadium and Universitatea will probably pay a rent for using the arena.
Kidu December 16th, 2009, 05:09 PM In the name of the God, how can you build a stadium without football field? Trust me, always if I need to choose from a Football Arena (British stadiums) and an Olympic Stadium (Olympia Stadium Berlin, Roma, Old stadium from Munich and so on) always I will prefer the first one but in this case we are out of discussion, this stadium is not paid by U Cluj. They can say "thank you" because they will play alone on that stadium and CFR have his stadium, otherwise they need to share this stadium. To much requesta from U Cluj side are not acceptable because not they need to put the conditions.
This is only the way how I saw the situation from Cluj.
SubZ3r0 December 16th, 2009, 05:33 PM SubZ3r0, the stadium is not made strictly for U Cluj. The new Moina will be the city stadium and Universitatea will probably pay a rent for using the arena.
The stadium is made for a football team right ? Otherise the football pitch would have no logic . And the football team of the city is U Cluj right ? Why did they had to do the track in these conditions ? From what I know there are already tracks in the city for athletics.

you can't ... even if the stadium is not paid by U Cluj they are the team of the city and the reason why the stadium it's being built.
alex_zebe December 16th, 2009, 06:21 PM The stadium is made for a football team right ?
No, it's not built for a particular football team. In theory, anybody with money to rent the stadium could use it.
And the football team of the city is U Cluj right?
There are three major football clubs in Cluj, Universitatea, CFR and Sanatatea.
scurt/2 December 17th, 2009, 01:47 PM Well, I think there is a major flaw in the judgement of those arguing that the athletics track is needed because the stadium is built by the municipality and not by some football club, whatever that one would be.
The flaw: You never build a stadium to accomodate as many sports as possible. This is not lucrative and most of all this is not reasonable. For instance, think about a baseball arena in US (built by local authorities) that would be "blessed" with athletics track. Everybody would give in, isn't it?:D
So you have to build a stadium keeping in your mind the real reason for you're doing this. And then you have to focus on that, right? In our case (Cluj-Napoca) the stadium shall be used at full capacity ONLY at football events (U.Cluj & Romanian National Football Team mainly). Who might even think about more then 1000 viewers (at most) for some lousy athletics event in Romania?
Ok, let's say there would be some hocus-pocus and Cluj-Napoca gets a major international athletic event. I can't imagine more than 10.000 people showing up to see it live (that would really be a miracle!). Which is less than a third the capacity of the new stadium.
So what are we talking about? Instead of constructing a modern football (& rugby?) only arena - as everybody does today throughout the "soccer-world", we come up with pathetic excuses/arguments to build from scretch an expansive out-of-fashion stadium just beacuse hypothetically we might have a once in a year international athletics event which might draw some 10000 people to the new venue...:bash: In other words, we sacrifice 20-25 football games each year just for the fun of something minor that could be once in a year.:hammer:
Honestly, this is a sample of pure, sheer, utter and ultimate stupidity in every language of this beautiful world.
The "mighty" athletics events could've been easely accomodated on a new 2000-3000 seater Athletics Arena, next to the Football Stadium, at the very same setting and thus everyone would have been happy!
alex_zebe December 17th, 2009, 02:08 PM That leaves us hoping that Romania would bid for an Euro in the near future and that Moina's capacity will have to be increased. And the simplest solution would be by giving up the tracks.
But for now the stadium as it will be is more than ok. Would have been better without the tracks, true that, but lets remember there are only 2 stadiums that are being built from scratch in Romania, and that's the new National Stadium and the new Ion Moina. So, for now, new is good.
And another thing. Changing mentalities is hard and takes a lot of time. There would have been lots of people complaining if the stadium would have been built without tracks.
The "mighty" athletics events could've been easely accomodated on a new 2000-3000 seater Athletics Arena, next to the Football Stadium, at the very same setting and thus everyone would have been happy!
The very same setting is impossible, as there will be a new 7.000 multifunctional arena (construction to start next year) next to the stadium. But there is a sports park some 200 meters further (basically the same place), with everything one sports enthusiast would need.

alex_zebe December 17th, 2009, 03:35 PM If they decide to do this, stands won't be built literally over the track, but under it. Such projects involve digging and placing the pitch lower, so that a new tier can be added.

alex_zebe December 19th, 2009, 07:12 PM ^^Why aren't modular stands good? My opinion is that (not quite my opinion, but a general one), for example, a tennis or a basketball court requiers less space than a handball court. Then why have all that free space, basically not used for anything, when a tennis match is being played and not fill it up with stands? Thus increasing the capacity during a tennis or basketball match from 7.000 to, lets say, 8.000.
alex_zebe December 19th, 2009, 09:58 PM There are more basketball fans in Cluj than handball fans. So I would say there would more attending basketball matches than handball.
We'll see, they didn't mention a lot about the new sports hall yet. The construction starts in 2010, so I guess they'll have to let go of some more information sooner or later.

Pastaie January 15th, 2010, 02:48 PM Is there any estimate of the completion date ?
alex_zebe January 15th, 2010, 04:32 PM ^^The stadium is due for completion in July 2011, but they say works are advancing better and faster than first expected, so it may be finished earlier.
PaulFCB January 16th, 2010, 10:20 AM works are advancing better and faster than first expected, so it may be finished earlier.
I think it's the first time I hear something like this in Romania, another reason to see the difference between Ardeal and ..... :D.
Happy to see things are going well, maybe a promotion for U Cluj and it will surely be a place to go and eventually fill up at important games.
One more wish from Cluj will be that CFR Stadium will be have it's 4th stand done somehow, maybe buying the houses and terrains just behind and eventually keeping the road, something like Calderon in Madrid or train lines in Dublin.
alex_zebe January 16th, 2010, 11:58 AM About the Gruia Stadium...I like it better as it is today. A fourth stand will look weird and tiny compared to the other stands (the stand opposing the planned one has about 7.000 places, compared to the planned one, which would have about 2.000). Of course, there are also other good options, like the one you pointed out, but they are expensive. And I personally like having that open space there, I like the panorama.
I'd like however to see all the stands covered entirely, I don't know why didn't they choose to cover them when they made all these changes to the stadium.

And about "U" Cluj now. Universitatea is third in the 2nd league at the middle of the season. The team is very stable financialwise after the purchase of the club by Florian Walter, "U" is among the few clubs in the 2nd league with no money problems. So, if everything goes well, they should make it to the first league and use the new stadium there.
alex_zebe February 9th, 2010, 10:51 PM The construction site, phone quality pictures. :)

alex_zebe March 12th, 2010, 06:56 PM You're welcome, Ionut.
Yes, the new Moina is built from scratch, but on the premises of the old stadium. The old one was demolished at the end of 2008.

alex_zebe March 13th, 2010, 01:07 PM It was u-shaped on purpose, so that the stadium resembled the symbol most used for Universitatea, "U".
ionut March 13th, 2010, 05:29 PM ^^ Oh nice, but still a bit strange. :D

congrats Cluj!
ionut April 29th, 2010, 10:24 AM ^^ Hm, it's just me or the pace is not that great? It seems that Lia Manoliu in Bucharest is growing much faster, although it's bigger. Or is it just me? :)
pescarush April 29th, 2010, 10:58 AM the construction begins later than for Lia Manoliu.
the conditions are different. the demolition was harder and took much more time too cause of upground structure.
in case of Bucharest there was no structure, they only had to remove those concrete stands from the whole and that s it. not to mention the stadium in Cluj is just next to the river so the underground water creates troubles for the foundations and it takes time to create a solid foundation.
alex_zebe April 29th, 2010, 11:00 AM Lia Manoliu was under construction for a year before works began at Cluj. It's something normal that they are ahead. Also, the toughest part of the construction was the foundation, from now on I understand that Moina/Cluj Arena is going to rise up much faster. IMO the pace is good if not great, the builders say that it may be finished much sooner then first predicted (they plan to finish the concrete structure this winter ).
pescarush April 29th, 2010, 11:06 AM ^^that s good!

Google1998 June 15th, 2010, 04:20 AM U Cluj deserves a new stadium, they have true and old fans in comparison with CFR Cluj... I think it was kinda hot if they celebrated in the fountains! :)
alex_zebe June 15th, 2010, 09:12 AM It doesn't really matter how hot it is, most football succeses (those of U Cluj, CFR Cluj or the Romanian National team) are celebrated in the fountain. Though it was indeed pretty hot.

Rafis June 18th, 2010, 01:29 PM CFR Cluj will play on this stadium too?
alex_zebe June 18th, 2010, 02:22 PM ^^Probably not. CFR already has a modern stadium, rebuilt in 2008, good enough for UEFA CL standards. The capacity is indeed smaller, but not by much (24.000-30.000) and, probably the most important thing, CFR's stadium is a football only arena. However, they could use it for important matches in Champions League.

Thanks. Yes, as I can see on this pics it's good stadium. It looks like english stadium :)
Google1998 June 18th, 2010, 05:09 PM U Cluj is the team of the city, not a practically newly created team like CFR, old team with more fans and with tradition in Liga 1, even not with big performances. The team is back in 1st league this season and they already announced a very good transfer: Adrian Cristea from Dinamo. So they will surely not relegate, they will survive from the next season too when they will play on this stadium...
alex_zebe June 18th, 2010, 08:41 PM There is no such thing as the only team of a city. Both CFR and "U" are teams from Cluj and represent the city. Both are old teams (1907 - CFR, 1919 - "U"), both have big fanbases (however, "U" Cluj is moving better on the ultras scene), both are known for something: CFR for the performances, "U" for the tradition. I'll put it this way. Steaua, Dinamo and Rapid are all teams of Bucharest, same goes to Lazio and AS in Rome, United and City in Manchester, AC and Inter in Milan, and the list could go on.
I sure hope "U" will not be relegated, they need more players. Adrian Cristea won't ensure Universitatea's stay in the first league.
Thanks. Yes, as I can see on this pics it's good stadium. It looks like english stadium :)
It does.
It's practically the first stadium built in post '89 revolution Romania. It wasn't built by the city, but with the help of the sponsors' money.
jeleu June 19th, 2010, 09:50 AM Adrian Cristea = BIG drinker, I'm sure he will be a loyal client of "Obsession the Club" :bash: . WE DON'T NEED HIM! Better a young player from the secound team!
PaulFCB June 23rd, 2010, 05:38 AM good transfer: Adrian Cristea from Dinamo. So they will surely not relegate, they will survive from the next season too when they will play on this stadium...
Does the new stadium include a fancy bar?
About CFR, I will still prefer it over U's stadium because it's a football only stadium and I always prefer these over any with a track. But I hope they will be able to finish the 4th stand and it will really be great.
Of course, it's cheap built, but the style's my favorite.
And even though U Cluj is still traditionally better supported in Cluj, I think CFR had the best average attendance last year in Romania, so that means a lot.
alex_zebe June 23rd, 2010, 10:28 AM It's not really cheap built (or whatever, for Romania it's not), they invested more than $20 mil. on building the stadium.
pink cow June 23rd, 2010, 03:47 PM WTF!!! please don't mess this thread with words about the other team in the city. if you are so interested in this subject please use personal message. About the new stadium, they work hard now on the upper part of the two curves, it take shape.
alex_zebe June 23rd, 2010, 04:49 PM No, you shouldn't mess this thread with such useless remarks. We're talking about CFR and their stadium in comparison with "U" and Ion Moina. So we're ontopic.
Other than that, welcome on the forum. You should also visit the Romanian (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1291) section and, from there, the Cluj section.
About the new stadium, they work hard now on the upper part of the two curves, it take shape.
You mean they are working harder at the second tier at both end stands. Works are more advanced than at the side stands.

jeleu August 6th, 2010, 07:03 PM Very very nice!
Cristian G. August 6th, 2010, 08:15 PM I'm glad Cluj will be having such a modern stadium! I hope in the next future more and more Romanian municipalities will follow this trend! We have great cities in Romania that deserve great stadiums: Brasov, Constanta, Craiova, Timisoara, Galati, Iasi, Oradea, Arad and, of course, Bucharest (Steaua, Dinamo, Rapid really need new and modern stadiums, in replacement of the actual "Holes").
Google1998 August 10th, 2010, 12:49 AM this is how the Elite Stadium from Cluj-Napoca should look in the end:

alex_zebe August 10th, 2010, 10:17 AM Nothing yet, noone knows if it will be built in the end. They can't find an investor. There will be a second bid sometime this week, the county council lowered their demands due to lack of interest of possible investors.
Google1998 August 10th, 2010, 10:44 AM the tower will be still built I think, but there will be an auction for the tower + the hall from what I have understood...

It's not very expensive because Romanian companies were hired to raise this stadium. However, the price went up a couple of times and probably it will go up again. But still, it will eventually be pretty cheap for such a stadium.
The hall costs almost double than the stadium because it's a more complex construction. Many of the parking spaces for the stadium will be built under the new hall.

alex_zebe August 29th, 2010, 10:10 AM I think these are older pictures. Nevertheless, they came out today with a press release regarding the evolution of the site. They say that they are already working on the roof (more precisely on the metal elements that are going to sustain the roof) at both ends.

Out of which the new one is going to be a gem if compared to Gruia Arena. Still there would be an important advantage for the CFR stadium: the lack of the athletics track, of course. I still wonder wtf was in their mind to build the new one using the old/ancient fashioned athletics track.... Maybe they are out to get the Olympic Games for Cluj-Napoca in 2020. But they should stay in line, Bucharest hunts them too. Except that Bucharest wants to get them without offering a sports arena with athletics track...:bash::nuts: Funny Romania, isn't it?
alex_zebe September 7th, 2010, 10:18 PM I'm not too fond of running tracks either, but I'm not that dissapointed in this case. I personally would like to see some important athletic events in Cluj (not the Olympics, of course that goes to Bucharest's new football stadium :D).

It has a athletic track because it is not the stadium of a football team, not build by a football team club, it is build by the municipality FOR the Cluj city and people of Cluj not especially for U Cluj football team, it is not the property of U Cluj team. We cannot demolish all the stadiums with tracks and build new ones without, if such stadiums are needed let them be build by the clubs. We must support all sports including athletic sports. :poke:

Dear dorin_zlx,
Although we have been through this issue before too and you have been then answered promptly, it seems that you forgot the point of it. Just to refresh your memory, here it is my post where I have explained why your (and others' as well) theory pictured by you above is lacked of logic:
Well, I think there is a major flaw in the judgment of those arguing that the athletics track is needed because the stadium is built by the municipality and not by some football club, whatever that one would be.
The flaw: You never build a stadium to accomodate as many sports as possible. This is not lucrative and most of all this is not reasonable. For instance, think about a baseball arena in US (built by local authorities) that would be "blessed" with athletics track. Everybody would give in, isn't it?
Instead of constructing a modern football (& rugby?) only arena - as everybody does today throughout the "soccer-world", we come up with pathetic excuses/arguments to build from scretch an expansive out-of-fashion stadium just beacuse hypothetically we might have a once in a year international athletics event which might draw some 10000 people to the new venue... In other words, we sacrifice 20-25 football games each year just for the fun of something minor that could be once in a year.
And YES, we can and do demolish stadiums with tracks and build new ones without them, even when they are not built by clubs, but by the municipality itself! Need an example? The new National Arena in Bucharest (55000 seater).
Need more examples? Look up in Germany: Stuttgart (still in work), Hamburg, Gelsenkirchen, Koeln, Leipzig, Muenchen, Bremen (still in work), Hannover, Frankfurt... They all had stadiums with tracks and they all got rid of them and built new modern arenas without tracks. And none of them is owned by clubs!!!
And last but not least look up everywhere else in Europe. Except for a couple of arenas projected for the Olympic Games (Montjuic-Barcelona and London), you shall find nobody constructing new big arenas (over 5-10k) with tracks. By contrary, the old ones are put to the ground and replaced with non-tracks stadiums. That is a fact!
Google1998 September 9th, 2010, 12:25 AM Scurt, can you shut up? you don't understand there is no big Elite stadium in Romania with track? you dont understand there were very good results in the past on Athletics and Romania wants to host IAAF events?
think about it! and the new national stadium wasnt built with track or the stadium from Ploiesti will have no track, so i dont know why you bother... it is 1 stadium with track in a country dont think the future ones will have tracks!
let give you examples with stadiums WITH tracks from Europe and their tenants:
- King Baudouin Stadium (Brussels): National Team of Belgium
- Letzigrund from Zurich: FC Zurich
- Stockholm Olympic Stadium: Djurgĺrdens IF
- Stade Louis II from Monte-Carlo: AS Monaco
- Stadio Olimpico from Roma: AS Roma
- Luzhniki Stadium from Moscow: Spartak & NT of Russia
- Olympic Stadium from Athens: PAO & AEK & NT of Greece
so i really dont see the problem every country to have an Olympic stadium... i have residences in both Hungary and Romania too because my wife is Romanian and you should be proud for such stadiums, even some EU countries and fans bag for something like this!
in Hungary we have the Ferenc Puskás Stadium it was modernised but imagine was opened in 1953 and it is with track and our damn politicians are not hurrying to build another one in the future! :( you should praise your 2 new Elite stadiums, you have another one of CFR Cluj, Ploiesti in progress or other projects!
