I think there will have some condominums....like bayswater resort..but its design is not as nice as Gurney's condominiums. Ivory do built a condominium near Penang Bridge, The View. I just past the road today, the construction start already.

Soon there will b 3 blocks of apartments built-up near Mutiara Height..but its design not very nice... :)

Mutiara Heights is not built by IJM!!! it is by UDA BINA. IJM's older projects (menara Penang Garden, Batu Lanchang, Harbour Trade Centre) are quite boring and dull, but new projects (D' Fairways, Bayswater Resort, e-GATE) are the best after Ivory's, IMO.

the rendering for Mutiara Heights looks quite interesting. the building is partly on top of a swimming pool, which is kinda unusual, and it is golden, like pablo said. however, i have to agree that the design sucks, but still much better than those is Farlim or Paya Terubong though. wheather it is gonna be properly maintained is up to the maintenance fees the resedents would pay for. i think this building is not low cost, i hope it is properly maintained.

Ivory would not be building anything in Metro East coz it is full of projects by IJM already. Besides e-GATE, Bayswater resort and TESCO, IJM already have plans for some supercondominiums and some offices there. it may still be possible for Ivory to build something along the other parts of Jelutong expressway, i think coz some buildings like Mutiara Heights and those beside it is not by IJM.

the view will be on the southern side of Penang Bridge, near batu Uban. it is a twin 30 stories tall condominium and has a bridge between them. (i've posted the renderings before, construction will start end of this year). here's the website: www.ivory.com.my

certain buildings are not well maintained eventhough they are not low cost. i think it depends on the management and maintainence fees. let's just hope it does not become more ugly.
