Some parts of the panorama are somewhat slanted (maybe some tweaking with the original pictures might help), but nevertheless a fine wide view of the Bangkok skyline.

EXCELLENT PIX Cityskyscrapers!!!

Would have been better if the sky were blue! I was fortunate to have blue sky during most of my visit there in Nov 2003 but unfortunately there isn't any vantage point I knew of that could offer me good shots for a pano.

well done! :okay:

Yes, the panorama was taken from the Grand China Princess Hotel. I booked three hotels, each for two nights, especially for the views (Grand China, Bayoike Sky, Tower Inn). I consider the Grand China as the best hotel (room, breakfast, neighbourhood) from those three. Well, maybe if I go through my photos I can find more to post, but I think this is the last one for now. Going for more city trips elsewhere.

B2 observation deck is not so scary since there is a tall fence around it. Hey here is an idea: go up to the top of B2 and call to Chad when he is at his apartment, then he can take a photo of you and Baiyoke from his place. U know what I mean? Khun Kiku Khun Chad,

How did you post those BKK Pictures ... Where did you store thsoe pictures without having to worry about the bandwidth and iamge sizes at all?!

For the last 3 BKK Images, the are:

1) Phetburi Road/Makkasan -> look at SCB Phetburi Office, Siam Ciy Bank HQ [the brown building], and Bangkok Palace Hotel [the hotel next to Makkasan railway Station]
as a few good pointers
2) Phetburi Road - Chong Nonsee -> look at SCB Phetburi Office, Siam Ciy Bank HQ, Queen Sirikit National COnvention Center (low rise building with yellow roof),and Oil Depot at Chong Nonsee ... Hope that it won't blow up like Oil Depot at Sri Racha ...

3) Sanam Pao -> Phayathai 2 Hospital, and the 2nd Calvary Division (Krom Thaharn Mah Thee 2) -> with the 1st Cavalry Battalion (Royal Guard) and the 29th Cavalry battalion (Royal Guard - the last calvary unit which still ride the horses) -> and Of course -> Baiyok 2 Building

it is pretty expensive. but i think other upscale restaurants in Bangkok also cost about the same or even more. just wondering, how much does it cost for one lunch meal in London? In Los Angeles, a typical lunch special costs around 4.95 to 6.95 plus tax.

atom, it depends on where and how you gonna eat and live and do. Roughly it is about £ 25-30 for the lowest u can get. Now £1 = 75 Baht

cheap meals (McDonald, KFC, etc) £3-5
chinese meals in a restaurant £10 per person in Soho, Thai meals will cost you hell of a lot more! and they are everywhere here.
a cup of small Starbuc coffee £2-3
A tube (underground ticket) £ 4.30 day pass in central london , £20.20 weekly pass, there is a weekend pass but I can't remember the price. just check the london transport website
A bus ticket £1 , £2.50 for a day bus pass (u can use tube ticket for buses)
All major, world class museums are free entry (except tower of London)
a night out, u need £20-30 to be drunk in a pub here.
what else, shopping umm bangkok is cheaper and better.
pm me if you want to know more about specific informations :)
