Well I saw here that many of you guys are having problems with Simcity4 requisits, but let me tell you my pc is:

PIII - 800mhz
256M - PC 133
Video Card - Vodoo 3000 - 16M

and I play with all the details on the maximum, it runs withouth any problems and real fast, just when I play the biggest maps the game become a little beat slow, then I just turn off some details like: water, foggy or shadow and it runs pretty well.

so defenetly the hardware isn't a problem whem playing Simcity 4 ( the only exepetion is the video card the must be compatible with the game), I think you guys have never updated your pcs, I mean the drivers of your cards: video, bios, sound, your system, the game itself the already released some updates.

you shouldn't have any problems at those specs...

At school, I had no problems on my 1.4G w/ 768MB RAM & 64MB NVIDIA GeForce2 (that system is over 2 yrs old).

At home I've got a new PC w/almost identical specsto the one you posted, but another 256MB card of RAM wouldn't hurt (512 total). When I zoom in or our the game lags just a little bit. Therefore, I'm buying more RAM soon!...I do keep other stuff open the whole time, tho.

RAM probably won't make any difference if you have that much already - for a gamer 512MB is fine unless you keep lots of programs open.

I've got an AMD XP 2800 with a POS 128MB ATi 9200 and SC4 runs fine except when you zoom.

To improve the performance during a zoom, a faster CPU, Hard Drive (defragment it too and not with the Windows one because that one doesn't work very well) and more memory on your video card.

You'll need extra RAM if you run the game in software mode.
