The last pic shows how the skyline can benefit by having more towers lighted up. I did read that there was a plan to have a 2-colour themed lighting, which will predominantly be white and blue.

Maybank seems to be changing their lighting scheme quite frequently.I prefer the latest look,acts like a perfect beacon.And we'll have another one once OUB tower 2 is up.Not sure if it's gonna be blocked from this angel though

Wordsworth's (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/wiki/William_Wordsworth) 1802 poem "My Heart Leaps Up When I Behold The Rainbow (http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/My_Heart_Leaps_Up_When_I_Behold)" begins:

My heart leaps up when I behold

A rainbow in the sky:

So was it when my life began;

So is it now I am a man;

So be it when I shall grow old,

Or let me die!…

Looks like it would be blocked. In any case there should be a light and water show for Marina Bay once the IR is completed. I much prefer the blue colour or white colour on Maybank. The other colours especially red, look too obiang.

Another rainbow spotted just before sunset this evening.

In the foreground, worship service commences at Novena church.

Took this stunning night sky color last night. In reallife it's a lot nicer with the warm glowing effect.

Lovely! This is one of my favourite angles thanks :)

I note that you were there during one of the NDP rehearsals. Was the place packed that night?

Only like sardines, RC. :lol:

Was at the Swissotel and had to rush the family for a quick meal in order to be back upstairs for the fireworks. I would consider Raffles City (the shopping mall, not you) quite crowded that day, considering the several road closures. It took us nearly an hour and a half to have our 'quick' meal (due to the crowds). But thankfully, managed to watch the fireworks. Some of the pics are in the NDP 2009 thread.

sounds like you're the most keen of all to get back up :lol:
I thought you actually stayed put throughout the transition from evening to night..did u catch the flag flypast? That for me is my favourite segment, together with the fighter jets. The others are more like 'dressing'. (apart from watching the fireworks)

Still, thanks for those NDP shots..its like although the routine is the same every year..there is still great interest in capturing something each time :cool:

My 4 year old son was EXTREMELY angry with me for missing the flag and jets. He even used his Optimus Prime super duper extra strong ray gun to shoot me SEVERAL times. :lol: I've been trying to make it up to him everyday since then but ... :ohno: hehe!

Somehow, for me, the whole experience is something worth catching, be it live or on tv. Perhaps it's that tiny bit of patriotism in me ... :)

There's the final show to catch. Hope that the weather will be agreeable on that day :)
