Yea I think I just changed that a while ago just to the ''Ritz Carlton Residences'' because that's a name that's commonly known. I don't see what those other words actually ''add'' to the title. I don't know what it means.

It translates to "The Metropolis", it's the actual name of the tower.

Now the question remains, is it a mandatory addition?

The name of the tower is "Maha Nakhon", because The Ritz Carlton Residences is a the hotel chain name and not the name of this building. We don't call it "The Ritz Carlton Residences & Edition Hotel".
