Citco to expand Irish operation with new building in Kilmainham

The Brunel building in KilmainhamGlobal financial services giant Citco is to expand its Irish operations by renting the 76,000 square feet Brunel building at Houston South Quarter in Kilmainham, Dublin.
The company says the deal demonstrates "its commitment to its Irish operations with its continued expansion in Dublin". The company employs 1,100 people in the Republic of Ireland out of a global workforce of more than 4,000.
The company services the the alternative investment industry and is an independent provider of corporate and trust services. It has four companies in Ireland comprising the Dublin branch of Citco Bank Nederland NV, Citco Fund Services (Dublin), Citco Corporate Trust Services (Ireland). and Citco Global Security Services. It has been providing international financial services from Ireland for more than 10 years from its locations in Dublin and Cork.
The company undertook an "extensive and thorough review of the Dublin real estate market" before going ahead with the expansion at Heuston South Quarter. The Brunel building is at an advanced stage of construction and occupation is scheduled by late in the second quarter of 2009. Florence Stanley of CBRE's corporate services division advised Citco and HT Meagher O'Reilly and CBRE advised developer Rhatigan Developments.
Citco Group companies provide corporate/fiduciary, fund administration, banking and data processing services.
