Wrong... first we do not consider ourselves as arabs in general we are tunisian first , " maghrebian arabs " , mediterrannean and africans we don<t see it as one unique identity . That can be explained by the location of maghreb , a crossroad between the north and the south the Western and the middkle east culture , and our history , starting from the Phoenicians to the French ^^^^

I know many Tunisians,they consider themselves as arabs (after their tunisian identity of course ) and they're very proud of it.

I'll answer to this by a simple comparison :

Japanese and Malaysians are different but they still consider themsleves as asians .

We are diverse within the arab region , like the rest of the regions of the world ^^

It will just be better to say you are Tunisian so as to avoid problems
