The Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour is an annual 109 km cycle race hosted in Cape Town, South Africa. With approximately 40,000 cyclists taking part, it is the world's largest individually timed cycle race, and is the first event outside Europe to be included in the International Cycling Union's Golden Bike Series.

<a href="http://www.cycletour.co.za/index.aspx">www.cycletour.co.za/index.aspx</a>

The race follows a scenic 109 km cirular route from Cape Town down the Cape Peninsula. The start is in the city centre, following the M3 south to Muizenberg, then Main Road along the False Bay coast to Simon's Town and Smitswinkel Bay. The route then crosses the peninsula and heads north along the Atlantic coast through Scarborough, Kommetjie, Noordhoek, Chapmans Peak, Hout Bay, Suikerbossie hill, Camps Bay and ending in Green Point

Decent exposure for the stadium on tele today.
Parts of the common look awful. I always wondered where the "green public space" was that the "environmentalists" were referring to.

I saw on E News that the gale force were very bad. I must say it did look funny seeing cyclist-domino's in a morbid way.

the helicopters couldnt take off because of the wind thats why there was no live coverage and probably why you didnt see the stadium on tv

^^ guys I know who can ride a sub 3 took 4 hours and another guy was telling me how taking his mountain bike (instead of his road) was a brilliant discision and actually improved his time. My one friend said he had to dismount on most downhills cos of the wind
