According to the CTBUH, Dubai is set to complete SEVEN supertalls in 2012, bringing its total completed supertalls to 18.

By comparison, 2011 saw one supertall completed (the Torch), and 2010 saw four (well technically 3 supertalls and one megatall). Exciting times for Dubai!

The dome and mast of Dubai's landmark Princess Tower has been completed, making it the world's tallest residential tower at a final height of 414 metres its developer said today.

The Dubai Marina development stands at 107 storey tall and encompasses basement floors, one ground floor and 100 above-ground levels. The project is in its final stages of development and expected to be handed over in the second quarter of this year.
