When is Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed line due for completion?

How many stops does it include?

How long shall the trip be with all the stops?

The train speed is supposed to be 220 km/h, and intervals 3 minutes.

Since there are also mentions of 300 km/h, what is the planned speed after all?

What shall the Shanghai-Hangzhou line be like?

From
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=184203&page=10

The train will cut travelling time from the current hour-and-a-half to just 38 minutes, travelling at a top speed of 350km/h.

There will be nine stations: Hongqiao, Songjiang, Fengjing, Jiashan, Jiaxing, Tongxiang, Haining, Yuhang and eastern Hangzhou.

Shall the 38 minute trip time include all intermediate stops?

When shall the rail line open?

upgraded from 200-250 km/h to over 300 km/h as of November 12th, 2008. More elevated rail added, cost increased.

Did the completion date, 1st of July 2010, remain?

How long is the route?

^^ 248.963km

The beautiful thing is there was no direct rail link between Nanjing and Hangzhou. All trains have to stop and Shanghai, which wastes a lot of mileage. (as shown below)

The new route shortens the distance between Nanjing and Hangzhou dramatically.

^^ It's a real, real shame that the Hangzhou Bay Bridge didn't include a deck for rail.

I can see Yangtze, Hangzhou bay and mouth islands on the map, but Taihu is missing.

Is it Suzhou where the yellow, blue and violet lines get together?

Suzhou looks to occupy a very favourable spot, in the middle of Jiangnan. And it is itself a big old city.

Are there any plans to improve links between Suzhou and Hangzhou?

^^ yes, Suzhou is not a very good city but its GDP ranks 4th ~ 5th of all Chinese cities.

Suzhou-Jiangxing-Hangzhou expressway is available (no need to detour to Shanghai)

HSR is planned as yellow link in above map.

^^ It's a real, real shame that the Hangzhou Bay Bridge didn't include a deck for rail.

They can always build another bridge.
But the reason is that they built the Hangzhou bridge too quickly, instead of waiting for the highspeed railway plans.
