I recall when reading about the Lakrishte regulation plan, that there is an underground river/canal running through Lakrishte (the one that can be seen in this map above) - which there are plans to dig up in the future...

Nice project! I am really jealous that Prishtina's municipality is able to develop such an intelligent urban plan, in order to concentrated all major office/hotel developments in the Lakrishte area. In Sofia, all big office projects are scattered around the city. :ohno:

I think chances are that this is the location of the Axis Complex because of 2 reasons (my speculative "prediction" of course :) ) :
- In the render you can see a river/canal that flows close to Axis. Such river/canal can also be seen close to this landplot in the regulation plan posted above. This river/canal is currently underground, but there are plans to dig it up in the future.
- The shape of the Axis Complex, corresponds with the shape of this landplot as it is formed in the regulation plan posted above. Straight line, where it borders ENK - and a roundly/curved shape facing Arberia..

I'm afraid this may be a too big project at this moment. With its 232 000 m2, its almost as big as ENK Complex. On top of it its a pure commercial project (no residential space at all...).. But what the hell, if the investor has the balls to pour money into this project - he surely must have his reasons to do so...

On another note, I really like the design of this project. Seems like a very high-quality project. With its 232 000 m2 it might become the biggest shopping center in the Balkans as well (anyone knows of anything bigger?)
On the other hand, I dont like how they are using the landplot. I think they should have built something alot taller, and thus havin some free space for some square or something - instead of occupying every inch of the landplot in this way.

There's not a billboard yet but there's a lot of activity; trucks coming in and going out, a lot digging, etc. I've got some photos but not great ones.

Are you sure it was in this location?
If it is, then they might be building the artificial river, which is foreseen in the regulation plan for Lakrishte (it can also be seen in the renders of Axis Complex).

It could be there, but I've never heard those names used for that section of the city.

I am pretty sure it was really close to enk site. It could well be. Also the lack of information about this project, like billboards and what not could also be a peice of the puzzle that maybe this is it. But on the other hand, normally any project undertaken by the municipality just drags and is rarly completed by the set dates, where as in this project the intensity of the work is abnormal, so it could just as well be a private investment.

I think what we have to watch for is, equipment with the name "clrimi" as that is the company that was assigned to complete this project by the municipality.

You might be right Liburni... But then again I dont get why they dont mention Lakrishte in that news article, but instead "lagjja Gallapi" and "Fusha e pajtimit" - which sounds like its located somewhere in the periphery... Sooner or later we'll find out..

Looks like the crane is located where the inner ring road is being built... If not for this purpose, maybe for some new project in Arberia...

I wonder how many underground floors they have dug up... It isnt easy to tell from the construction photos, since we cant count floors because the underground floors doesnt seem to be clearly divided/defined...

I haven't thought about it this way before, but lets try to analyze this a bit:

Axis used 4 months to dig 2 underground floors (lets say approximately from 1.May to 1. September 2009)
If they where to dig for 7 underground floors with the same intensity(2 floors in 4 months), it would have taken them more than a year too.. It would have taken them 12 months to dig 6 floors.


ENK on the other hand began construction (digging) in August. Since then 1 year has passed. Unfortunately we don't know how many floors have been dug up, but when the ENK web site got updated in February 2009 - it said that 44% had been excavated.
I'm not trying to advocate for ENK here, but the construction works at the ENK site are more complicated than at Axis too... like for example the over 24m deep (28 or 30m deep if they really are digging for 7floors and not 6) concrete pillars they are installing at the site

Also, I think they stopped working for a couple of weeks because of a major water leak they found while digging. There was no activity there at all. I'm sure ENK will be able to attract customers and businesses to the complex... especially in 2016 when Kosovo will have increased its GDP by at least another 50-60% and when bigger businesses will start investing larger amounts of money.

For example the power plant itself will increase our GDP by about 25%...

Po'm duket se ne komplet parcelen eshte ndertu si platforme dy kate nen toke + dy kate mbi toke. E pastaj, mbi kete platforme do te ndertohet objekti kyesor (qe po verehet nje kat me larte eshte ndertu) dhe ndertesat e shetitorja.

I am honestly very happy how AXIS is developing since its very beginning!

^^ Foto shume te "qarta" njeri. Me u mendu dy here para se me e postu naj foto ketu, sherri i yt. Krejt fotot tjera ne krahasim me te tujat po duken te "lodhta"...

Perndryshe, ketu ne Axis po derdhet uji ne kanalizim. Po derdhet uji qe po nxjerret prej bodrumit. Nja dy lita uje ne sekond po derdhen. E uji po duket i paster, mjaft i paster. Kishte mujt me u shfrytezu psh., me i la rruget.
E sasia e ujit qe po derdhet eshte e madhe. Me e mbush nje cisterne per nja 3-4 ore.. Shih foton:

E kom pa... shume gjynah. Ai uje kishte mund te mbushej neper cisterna e te perdorej per larjen e rrugeve, te automjeteve publike, etj. Keshtu vetem derdhet.. pa kryer asnje pune..

Edhe un e kom mendu kete problemin e ujit, nuk eshte vetem te axis qe po del kshtu uje. Jane disa vende ku po ndertohet e qe po del uje vazhdimisht, gjithmone ne prishtine si ke shpu mbi 5 metra ka dal uje..me kete duhet mu marre organet e ujesjellsit se gjynah sa uji po shkon poshte e po shihet se qyeti ka uje nentoke shum..bash me kish interesu qka eshte ky uje ka vjen...???

No problem man, my pleasure.

Works on the roundabout are progressing; they've opened the road underneath for traffic towards Fushe Kosove and Peje, but there's still a lot to be done (namely, they still have to finish the underpass, the connecting bit with Mitrovica has to be done, the side roads have to be constructed, and all the wings of the roundabout have to be finished as well).

So, it's progressing, but won't see it done by the end of the year unless they push hard just in time for elections..

Shum po me intereson se qysh do te duket ky objekt, sepse nuk duket hiq sikur ne plan (renderat).

Jo, keta moti kane dal prej projektit.. ato ndertesat mrapa hic s'ma merr mendja se kane mu ndertu, e ato dy perpara jane bashku e jane vetem nje ndertese tani. Nese nuk kane dal prej planit, do te jete ndonje zgjidhje kreative se une s'po shoh qe ka vend ketu per dicka tjeter.

Pervec nese nuk i blejne edhe disa parcela afer aty..

Projektuesi (Horizons Group) eshte i njejti ne te dy projektet (qe jane prezentuar ketu me rendera).... Ama projekti final qe u zbatua nga Edri Shpk, nuk eshte projektuar nga kjo studio. Nuk eshte faj i tyre qe investitori vendos te ben ndryshime dhe te devijon prej projektit me vone... Eshte faj i komunes qe lejon te behen ndryshime vend e pa vend pasi qe te miratohet projekti dhe te pajisen me leje te ndertimit.
