Ladies and gents....
I am in my third and final year of a Product design course at Birmingham City University. I am currently on my final major project.... and would be extremely greatful for any help or advice that any of you can offer.

I am in the process of designing a tourist information kiosk. The kiosk would most likely be an indoors product, located in places such as New street station, Birmingham International Airport and the redeveloped Digbeth coach station and would provide tourists and locals alike with information on things such as accommodation, things to see and do, travel information and maps, where to eat and drink, conferences and events.....you get the idea.

I'm going to show you some of the designs i have come up with so far and would be extremely greatful for your opinions and advice....If you've used on of the existing products that are already out there, what did you think, what did you like/ dislike?? I'm sure that at one point or another we have all been a tourist, I want something that attracts attention from a distance in a crowd, something that is friendly and approachable, possibly sculptural.

Right enough of me rambling on....take a look at some of my existing designs and tell me what you think, positive and negative comments welcome. Thanks.

The first one is certainly the most visually interesting, but the screen and time/temperature LED look like afterthoughts, if you can find a way of making them look more intergral to the design I'd say go with that one.

Thanks I like concrete, thats more or less what my tutor said, the time/temperature element is likely to dissapear and the screen is going to be developed much more. And yes i think the majority of people recognize the "i" logo. Thanks again

i+ design looks like what BT are rolling out across the country.

You should make a 6 foot iPhone.

Many thanks guys, I think i will run with the first design and develop it much further. Thanks for your feedback....my tutor has told me what he thinks, my mates have told me what they think, but i just thought i'd share it with the good folks of skyscrapercity because most of us seem to know what we like and don't like when it comes to designs. :)
