Riproduco qui il mio thread su Florianopolis, Brasile, che ho postato nella sezione urban showcase. Ho visitato questa bella citta` (probabilmente, con Curitiba, la piu` bella del sud del paese). Scusate se non ho tradotto il testo
After posting a photo thread on Bombinhas and Porto Belo (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?p=21981984#post21981984) a while ago I’ll present to you my pics of Florianopolis. Florianpolis (short nick: Floripa) is the capital of Santa Catarina state and. together with Curitiba in Paraná state, the nicest and most livable city I have visited in Brazil so far.
But before we get to the city, a couple of pics of the green countryside north of Florianopolis I took while in the bus:

A house in the countryside:

Getting closer to Floripa: the part of the city is right of the bridge is located on the mainland whereas everything to the left is on the Ilha Santa Catarina

My first impression of Floripa: a grey modernist bus station like many others in Brazil:

A view of it from the hotel:

Another view, this time towards the waterfront, which unfortunately Florianopolis hasn't fully capitalized on, using it for parking, bus terminals, and a convention center:
