Look at tangs and robinsons. There r more staffs than shoppers around, and the staffs treat the place like a mamak hangout. They shld cut down the staff population, and let a few get busy with works. Hire a set of multiracial staffs, because a same race group is tend to talk longer.

4 me Robinsons KL probably the best looking dept store in malaysia...best interior but Gardens@MidValley quite boring huh....
James Foong September 26th, 2008, 04:24 PM It has nothing to do with which race you r. If you can speak multilanguages, you ll hv upper hand in many things, especially being in retailing. Foreign retailers like isetankl does not only cater to locals but a host of foreigners mainly asian n arabs, so it is prerequisite for you to be able to speak common language, english. If you can speak chinese, you hv a broader customers under you to cater. And you hv more commissions from your sales. It is simple as that.
rizalhakim September 27th, 2008, 08:35 AM ^^whatever it is...dats the truth my frn....n yeah wit no commission...who want to take dis job... commission only for promoters or agents but not sales assistant...

rizalhakim October 14th, 2008, 09:01 AM Malton to sell subsidiary for RM2.54m
Email us your feedback at fd@bizedge.com
KUALA LUMPUR: Malton Bhd is disposing of its entire 100% stake comprising 250,000 shares in Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd (KLP), which was involved in the construction of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping mall and also providing development management services, to Gematunas Sdn Bhd for RM2.54 million.
The disposal was in line with Malton’s on-going effort to rationalise and streamline its assets and development plans, the company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
“The development management projects carried out by KLP, which were its major source of income, have been completed and currently, it is not carrying out any major projects,” it said.
rizalhakim October 18th, 2008, 04:26 AM Pavilion lights up with six creative kolams
By PRIYA MENON
http://thestar.com.my/archives/2008/10/18/central/m_pg01kolams.jpg
AS part of its decor for Deepavali, the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is displaying six attractive kolams created by the students of the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) .
“We want the Pavilion to be a platform for culture and arts as well as providing opportunities for local talents to feature their works,” Pavilion KL general manager (marketing) Kung Suan Ai said.
The festive collaboration is in line with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between Pavilion KL and LUCT earlier this year.
According to Kung, nearly two million people visit the mall a month and the idea to showcase the country’s multi-religious and multi-cultural festivals is certainly appropriate.
“The Pavilion KL is a world class shopping centre and we want the activities and the festive theme to reflect that,” she said.
Kung said this during the recent unveiling of the six kolams at the Pavilion.
About 250 local and international students used 850kg of rice, 100 bottles of food colouring, 60 rolls of masking tape, 60 300ml bottles of PVA glue, 450 pieces of board paper and 60 pieces of flats to create the kolams, which are on display until Oct 30.
http://thestar.com.my/archives/2008/10/18/central/m_pg02fajura.jpg
Lighting up: LUCT corporate relations and integration vice-president Assoc Prof Fajura Juffa (kneeling, left) and Kung add a touch of fire to one of the kolams as two dancers in peacock costume flank them.
The rangoli kolams (colourful kolams) at various parts of the mall took a few of days to complete.
The designs incorporate the traditional Hindu theme with lamps and peacocks, with a modern and international flavour.
“The kolams are essentially Asian and Malaysian in feature but the international students at LUCT have added a new tweak to the culture,” LUCT vice-president (corporate relations and integration) Fajura Juffa said.
Fajura said the creative experience was a good one for the students as most of them, including some Indian students, had never participate in the making of a kolam before.
For local students Siti Zubaidah Aishah, 20, and Sofia Natasha, 18, the process was an interesting experience.
“During our research we learned so many things about the Indian culture that we didn’t know before,” Zubaidah said.
Haitham Fouad, 23, from Palestine, said that this was an activity he wouldn’t mind doing again.
“I’ve never seen or heard about kolams before. It is very interesting to use coloured rice for decorations,” he said.
During the unveiling ceremony, guests were treated to a unique traditional Indian peacock dance as well as a bharatanatyam performance by students of the Temple of Fine Arts.
Cerulean October 18th, 2008, 03:26 PM I was told that the new Emirates office is located inside Pavilion. Is it opened? Any photo of it?

WhiteChicken October 21st, 2008, 12:26 PM have the towers nearly reached the top already?
Tulsa October 21st, 2008, 12:53 PM KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- Malton Bhd is disposing its entire equity interest in Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd (KLPSB) for RM2.540 million to Gematunas Sdn Bhd.
The total consideration for the disposal is based on the net tangible assets set out in the audited financial statement for the year ended June 30, 2008, said Malton in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.
Malton said the rationale for disposing the KLPSB stake is that the development management projects carried out by it, and a major source of income, had been completed.
Currently, KLPSB is not undertaking any major projects.
In line with Malton’s ongoing efforts to rationalise and streamline its assets and development plans, the disposal is in the best interest of the Malton Group, it added.
The dsposal is expected to be completed within the financial year ending June 30, 2009.

rizalhakim November 19th, 2008, 03:48 AM Urusharta draws foreign buyers
Half of the takers for posh condo project from abroad
KUALA LUMPUR: Urusharta Cemerlang Sdn Bhd believes properties in the country are still attractive especially among foreigners, says chairman Tan Sri Zainol Mahmood.
“With strategic location and high quality of materials used, there should be no reason why foreigners don’t want to buy properties in Malaysia,” he said yesterday after the topping-up ceremony for Pavilion Residences.
He added that foreigners from about 18 countries made up half of the buyers for the 368-unit high-end condominium project, which was sold out last month.
The units were priced from RM1.8mil to RM8mil.
Despite the current global economic slowdown, the international community seemed aware of the future of Malaysia and were still confident on investing in the country, said Zainol.
Comprising two towers, the project is located at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in the Golden Triangle.
Zainol said although the property sector was facing a slowdown, developers shouldn’t just stand still but must think positively on how to generate business activities in the country.
He believed the company’s decision to complete the development of Pavilion Residences would help the industry and the country by creating jobs.
“If we stop the development, it would mean no jobs for people. Doing so would just help create a recession,” he said.
Pavilion Residences is scheduled for completion early next year with gross development value of RM610mil.
rizalhakim November 19th, 2008, 07:03 AM Pavilion Residences mampu tingkatkan nilai hartanah
KUALA LUMPUR 18 Nov. - Urusharta Cemerlang Sdn. Bhd.
Katanya, semua unit kediaman berkenaan habis dijual sejak seminggu lalu.

Also livening up the catwalk were Taiwanese models Bianca Bai Xin Hui and Ming Dao.
The event, which was emceed by Asha Gill and Owen Yap, kicked off on a glamourous note with the guests ushered along a red carpet into the Bintang Circle at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Violinist Joanne Yeoh started things off on the right note while Noryn Aziz had the audience in her hand as she belted out a num*ber after Yeoh had taken a bow.

Grand show: Bonia fashion 2009 at pavilion.
Casual lines dominated the men’s collection with a breezy palette of blue and white enhanced by warm and earthy red, yellow and brown. It was not all about fun, though, as there was a good selection of business attire on display as well.
For the women, elegance and style were the focus, with plenty of black and yellow on show. Shiny metal fittings like buckles in gold and silver tones added a bit of bling to the affair while the natural leather and composite materials were enhanced by various textures.
Bonia group managing director Albert Chiang was on hand to play the gracious host and ensure that a good time was had by all.
“Bonia, being one of the leading brands in Asia with outlets operating in 13 countries globally, will continue to provide creativity and quality craftsmanship,” he said.

Its chairman Tan Sri Zainol Mahmood said the Pavilion Residences would be completed by early 2009.
“The Pavilion Residences truly is the epitome of inner-city living with all modern urban conveniences in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Today is a very exciting and significant day for us,’’ said Zainol.
Comprising two towers with 368 contemporary-style units, Pavilion Residences will feature unblemished views of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the Petronas Twin Towers and the Klang Valley.
The foreign buyers are from Australia, Canada, Japan, Mauritius, the Middle East, Singapore, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
“We are proud that all our units are fully sold out. Despite the current global economic situation, the international communities seem aware of the future and vision of Malaysia and are confident in investing in our country. This is a significant boost to our country and we are very happy to be playing an instrumental role in this positive development,’’ said Zainol.

rizalhakim January 12th, 2009, 05:42 AM Mall lines up an intriguing programme to welcome the Lunar New Year
CELEBRATIONS to herald the Chinese New Year were launched amid the vibrant beat of traditional drums and the exhilarating moves of a world champion acrobatic lion dance troupe at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
At the launch that was geared to bring activity in the heart of the Golden Triangle to a halt, lucky guests at the shopping mall witnessed a mesmerising performance to evoke an auspicious start to the Year of The Golden Ox.
To the delight of the guests and passers-by, a majestic 11ft Golden Bull was unveiled to the beat of drums at the Bukit Bintang entrance by Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd acting chief executive officer (retail) Joyce Yap, who launched the mall’s 2009 Chinese New Year Festivities, themed “Blossom in Pink and Prosper in Red”.
The gesture symbolises the unleashing of the energy of the bull,
The bull is an icon in Chinese tradition that embodies sheer strength and determination to progressively charge towards 2009 by reaping luck, prosperity and goodwill with more positive experiences, energy and dynamism.
http://thestar.com.my/archives/2009/1/12/central/m_p9lee.jpg
Charging into the New Year: Yap and Datuk Lee Tuck Fook unleashing the energy of the Golden Bull to signify a year filled with energy and dynamism.
“The bull signifies strength and energy. It is classic and sophisticated in style with a stout heart; it remains true to its beliefs by being a strong support, inspiring others with hard work and dedication. In reflection of that, let us embrace the challenges this year and charge forward together,” Yap said.
Endorsed by the Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry (Kekkwa) and Pavilion KL, which serves as a centre of excellence for culture and performing arts, has put together a presentation that infuses these cultural elements in this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations.
“We firmly believe that our line-up of activities speaks strongly of our passion to promote culture, arts and heritage in today’s modern society,” Yap said.
“In addition to inviting shoppers and visitors to celebrate good health, good fortune and good times this Lunar New Year with a kaleidoscope of events and activities throughout the spring festival celebration, Pavilion KL has teamed up with key hotels in Bukit Bintang to promote the celebration with their guests so that tourists visiting Malaysia will be able to witness and experience the myriad forms of art, culture and tradition.
The mall has lined up an intriguing programme until Feb 8.
Gear up for a prosperous year with an auspicious touch of the Golden Bull, a symbol of prosperity and good blessings, at the Main Entrance.
Those who want to capture the spirit of Spring should make it a point to stroll down the mall’s Pink Blossom Walk and indulge in a picture-perfect moment for their Chinese New Year album.
Among the traditional happenings to look out for is the vibrant lion dance, which is believed to drive away all undesirable elements while ushering in good luck and prosperity. Take a well-deserved break from your shopping to catch the World Champion Kun Seng Keng Acrobatic Lion Dance; the spectacle is a must-see for visitors young and old alike.
Shoppers and visitors can also immerse themselves in the entire Chinese cultural experience to the sounds and lithe movements of the 24 Seasons Drum troupe.
For a taste of nostalgia, shoppers will be able to take part or witness demonstrations of time-honoured Chinese arts and craft, such as watercolour painting and dough doll making. Shoppers keen on having their fortunes told can also take part in palm and face-reading sessions.
Meanwhile, the fashion-conscious can find out what’s new and sensational for this season at 3pm and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
So, do make it a point to swing by with family and friends.

The event was hosted by model Bernie Chan and attended by celebrities, socialites and shoppers.
As the sweet smell of cupcakes filled the air at the 3 Bintang Circle, the fashion show gave shoppers a front-row look into the newest arrivals from top international brands, modelled by local celebrities Deborah Henry, Carmen Soo, Hansen Lee, Henry Golding and Stephanie Chai.
Guests were mesmerised as the models sashayed down the catwalk with the latest collections from Guess, Raoul and Banana Republic.
The shoppers were also given a chance to take pictures with their favourite celebrities after the show.
Pavilion KL marketing general manager Kuan Suan Ai said the shopping centre was proud to have achieved such a remarkable milestone in becoming an iconic destination in the region.

KUALA LUMPUR: Ferrari Formula One drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa made an appearance at the Shell Carnival at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping mall yesterday.
They were mobbed by fans during a photocall.
The carnival, held in conjunction with the Shell-Ferrari model cars campaign, included fun activities and interactive games.
Some of the activities lined up were the F1 simulator test, Shell-Ferrari Model Cars Playmat Challenge and Power Pack sales.
A Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was also on display.
Also present was ING Renault F1 driver Nelson Piquet, who signed autographs for fans.

KUALA LUMPUR: The short appearance of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa was enough for the Ferrari fans.
Decked in Ferrari shirts and caps, the fans had waited since 9.30am but it was only at 11.45am that the drivers arrived at the Shell Carnival at the Pavilion shopping mall yesterday.
In the 15 minutes that they were at the special appearance, Raikonnen and Massa each signed two sets of the Shell V-Power Racing Collector’s Garage 2009, the Ferrari 2008 yearbook and Ferrari caps which would be auctioned off for charity by Shell and Pavilion.
John Tang came in his red T-shirt and cap printed with Massa’s name. He also brought along a Ferrari flag and his limited edition Ferrari model cars still packed in boxes.

“I got hooked to the FI fever when my sister gave me free tickets to the Malaysian Grand Prix in 2002.
“After that, I started collecting Fer*rari merchandise,” said the 32-year-old who was accompanied by his girlfriend, another big fan of Raik*konen.
Raikkonen, nicknamed “Iceman”, lived up to his name as he sat coolly under the tent, unperturbed by the girls screaming “Kimi! Kimi!”.
Australians Richard and Debbie Kinsel were disappointed that they missed the drivers even though they had arrived early.
“We were told to wait at another spot. We waited and waited and in the end, the security told us that the venue was on the other side of the building.
“I am sad that I didn’t get to see the drivers but the Shell people gave me a Ferrari model car to make up for my disappointment,” said Ri**chard, who has been a big fan of Ferrari since Michael Schumacher’s era.
Italian Vivian Bove, 35, who was behind the barricades, was shouting Raikkonen’s name.
“It is unbelievable to be able to see Kimi (Raikkonen) so up close and personal.
“It’s like a dream come true,” said Bove, who says she has been a Ferrari fan all her life.
