Stellenbosch is the second oldest town in South Africa and home to the country's wine industry. It's probably the most well preserved town in SA, making it a living museum.

Kwame... it's like the Napa or Santa Rosa of South Africa, and it's a major academic centre with the University of Stellenbosch right in the middle of town.

Like Franschoek, its just awesome to walk around during the day, ice cream, lunch, etc.

It's gorgeous and is my university town.. still miss studying there! The only university town I could even nearly compare it to in the USA is like Santa Barbara with UCSB! It is a glorious town to live and study in, albeit very distracting with all the wine estates, gourmet restaurants and nightlife around. :)
