Saudi-Arabia is in most parts a flat country with low population density. For broadcasting TV- and FM-programs in areas away from the big cities like Riad, the usage of large guyed masts may be a possible way. Do in Saudi-Arabia exist guyed radio masts taller than 250 metres? If yes, where?
Please post pictures of them.
On http://www.waniewski.de/id49.htm you can see many interesting pictures of the large mediumwave broadcasting station Ras Al Zawr using a 208 metres tall guyed mast for broadcasting on 783 kHz, a 184 metres tall guyed mast for broadcasting on 864 kHz and two free-standing towers used for broadcasting on 1440 kHz. All these towers are insulated against ground.
