Le méga-projet touristique annoncé récemment à El Haouria commence à se préciser. Selon des sources proches du ministère de développement et de la coopération internationale, l’homme d’affaires chinois David Chow, célèbre tycoon chinois de l’industrie des loisirs rêve de transformer
la région d’El Haouaria, à la pointe du Cap Bon dans le nord-est de la Tunisie en un nouveau « Las Vegas » au Maghreb. Le spécialiste du marketing des casinos compte en effet y implanter un série de casions et de parcs de loisirs en plus d’un quartier résidentiel de luxe sur une superficie totale de 2000 hectares couvrant le site de Zougag connu pour sa plage quasi-vierge et son forêt de pin d’Alep.

Le magnat de jeux de casinos a déclaré que la matérialisation de son projet "amènera les touristes asiatiques à choisir la Tunisie comme destination".




L’investisseur chinois a également indiqué aux médias que « la Tunisie est en mesure de jouer un rôle de pôle régional pour la promotion des activités touristiques et commerciales compte tenu de sa position géographique, du climat de sécurité qui y règne et des traditions d’hospitalité qui la caractérisent ».
Ancien « rabatteur » habile des joueurs fortunés aux Etats Unis, David Chow gère actuellement et un parc à thème régional appelé le Quai du pêcheur à Macao en Chine. Il a aussi investi 250 millions de dollars dans la construction, à Pékin, du Legendale Hotel et compte débloquer investira près de 130 millions de dollars dans la construction d'un complexe touristique dans la petite île de Santa Maria au Cap Vert.

Such investment will have a lot of consequence on the future of the area and the economy...Remember gambling will not be on the benefit of Tunisians or to advance our GDP (gross domestic product). It will be on the benefit of some few rich Tunisians and foreigners investors.....

it s a non sense , casinos are part of the modern tunisian infrastructure what do you mean exactly by our religion ?

A majority of us are `'muslims ' but not all of them actually believe or practice , we don,t go to the mosq 5 times a day, we banned polygamy, abortion is legal i thought we have get rid of this confusion between the indivuduals beliefs and the the REPUBLIC because keep in mind that we are a Republic and as such the Republic should guarantee TO ALL it s citizens the right TO CHOOSE as experssed in our CONSTITUTION!!!

As far as the gambling , we do gamble in tunisia ( chkoba , rami poker are the main examples ) we drink alcohol, prostituion is legal and managed by the Tunisian state etc...


The gambling , like the spas , the golfs , marinas is an added value to the tunisian product because it will attract the richest tourists . and it will benefit the whole country by providing an upsacle infrastructure therefore hotels , restaurant , entertainemnet areas etc AND again extra value .


just an examaple : a welathiest couples is looking for a new destination for their vacation , the husband likes casinos and let s say he have a yacht . She loves going to spas and love gastronomy well now Tunisia will answers to all their need by providing the services that they are looking for and on top of that they can enjoy the white sandy beaches , the dunes of the dsesert visit an oasis , archeological sites and hey since their in tunisia why not the medina of tunis Sidi Bou said etc...

i guess everybody can see my point now !

What does Allah has to do with this ??? we already have 5 casinos in tunisia and as far as I know he the Almighty did nt say a word about it ...

It seems that we don't share the same views. You have the right to think the way you like. Briefly, I want to see my country advanced and respect its tradition... :)

un micro las vegas alors, faut savoir qu un seule hotel de vegas coute aussi chere que tous les projets de enfidha reuni. pour ceux qui pense que vegas et un danger c est mal connaitre cette ville meme si on ne souhaite pas y allé pour jouer au jeux de hasard cette ville est incroyable ,les loisirs sont tres diversifié que se sois dans les rues ou dans les hotels (sa vaut réelement de détour) . de plus je vois pas en quoi un vegas en tunisie est un danger chaqu un est libre de faire se qu il souhaite de plus les casinos seront réservé aux etrangérs donc je vois vraiment pas ou est le probléme

Je suis deja aller au casino de la medina de Hammamet et effectivement j'ai vu que des etrangers, je crois que les tunisiens ne sont pas tres jeux de hasard...
