LeCom February 1st, 2004, 08:28 PM Sheeeeer. Pretty cool and massive but Sorrento towers are cooler. 8.5/10
Aquarius February 7th, 2004, 08:20 PM Too broad, I do not like much 6,5/10
james2390 February 8th, 2004, 03:36 AM Very Nice, 8/10
Style™ February 8th, 2004, 04:01 AM It looks nice in the rendering. Then again, all buildings do. I do not like what it is surrounded by either. It also does not look that tall and slighly dirty.
Oh well, based only on the building...7.5/10 :)
Liz L February 13th, 2004, 02:58 AM 6.5/10 - Odd.....very odd.....
I like the contrest between the light trim and the blue of the windows, and the shallow indentations running up the sides should do interesting things with light and shadow. I also like the nice, shiney glass facade, and the wider pillars along the base are a good contrast to the thin white trim above.
But - I'm not sure about that "comb" along the roof line, or the "awning" above the base (though at least they match each other), and the building, broadside on, is so bulky that it kills the heght...It looks like it's an imitation of Pelli's Sea Hawk (if I have the name right) resort, but somehow doesn't quite make it...
The Messiah March 5th, 2004, 11:51 AM Wow :) This skyscraper is freaking massive as hell. And i even like this!Cool design!:) 8.0/10
Muse March 6th, 2004, 09:01 AM Miami-esque holes in Hong Kong:
Massive yet attractive on the outside. I bet the apartments inside are rabbit hutches, yet it is 'Honkers'.
I like the green glass cladding and the canpoy features surrounding the crown. Nice ellipitical shape too.
8
sjambler March 6th, 2004, 02:41 PM I don't really like the narrow slab-like shape too much. It is sort of a nice bldg though. The holes are neat.
7/10
Javier March 8th, 2004, 07:21 PM Impressive and hyper massive building, is hard to avoid look at it.
8.5/10
Fabio March 12th, 2004, 12:50 AM 8/10

Necker March 14th, 2004, 04:55 PM 8.5/10
Kaneda March 30th, 2004, 04:09 PM I like the facade and the top, but its a bit wide. 8/10 :)
Brasil Guy March 30th, 2004, 07:04 PM 8, i like it, it is tall but doens´t look very much...its a chubby building

Justadude July 27th, 2004, 06:55 PM Looks nice for a residential building, but boring as a skyscraper.
yoyo22 July 27th, 2004, 11:37 PM 4/10
Size is nice, color/facade ok/ Holes and busy-ness of architectural details on the side detract from look. An average skyscraper.
Trances August 14th, 2004, 10:42 AM Large narrow desgin intresting!
6/10
Dubai-Lover August 27th, 2004, 08:20 PM doesn't really look like 255m! it's quite wide! ok! 6.5

LibertyTwo September 26th, 2004, 02:11 PM Massive....a commie block in Asia
6/10
Zuelas October 5th, 2004, 09:22 AM 7.5
A commie block??? If that's how commie blocks typically are in Asia then they're doin pretty well. It's pleasant and strong..... and alot of floors! Plus it's in a prime location w/incredible views.
STR October 6th, 2004, 07:18 PM It's pretty ugly. It is too bulky and too slender, dedending on the angle. It should have been taller instead of being so fat.
+2 for basic design
+2 for size

get13 April 10th, 2005, 02:37 PM Its ok. Too thin though 8/10
Pengui April 18th, 2005, 07:28 AM By far the best commieblock-style building I've ever seen.
I like the colors, the shape, the roof features and the height.
Well, it's still a commieblock.
7.5
flatiron94 April 19th, 2005, 12:34 AM Sweet 9/10
superchan7 April 20th, 2005, 06:13 AM Great residential addition to Hong Kong's endless sea of 40-storey commieblocks. 8.5/10
PS: It's enormous. Try driving past it; the entire Union Square complex is a massive, massive, massive monster just sitting there next to the Western Harbour Crossing entrance.
Smileyface May 25th, 2005, 09:16 PM Huge and very impressive 8/10
Phobos May 27th, 2005, 01:11 AM 7.5/10
The building has a very good cladding, however, I don't like the its shape.
Latoso May 27th, 2005, 01:43 AM 7.5/10 Too wide, not enough verticality.
Jules May 29th, 2005, 12:21 AM 6.5.
geminiguy7 June 8th, 2005, 02:38 AM nice 8/10
jpq21 June 11th, 2005, 07:41 AM very unique to most residential buildings in HK. It's also huge, and has a great design. I like the different shades of color used, the white really brightens up the atmosphere of Hong Kong.
Although it looks huge now, it will be completely dwarfed by US7, and wont draw as much attention in itself, or seem nearly as dominating since it will be compared to the tallest building in Hong Kong.
But it will still have some advantage, since it is so wide and dominant in that area.
Great addition to the Union Square project
9.5/10
empersouf June 12th, 2005, 11:36 AM Too big, They had to split it in three or four towers.

_00_deathscar June 14th, 2006, 10:13 AM Get's a 7/10 just for the height and SIZE of the bloody thing, but if you ask me honestly, the building itself is ugly.
"A scar on the face of Hong Kong" as they said about the Louvre Pyrmaid albeit in Paris.
Tom Ace June 20th, 2006, 03:03 PM 8/10. I like the facade and the width. I've never really been sold on that style of building though and i'm not sure I like the holes. It blends really well with the water though.

Also love it for the technical bravery .... one of the worlds widest scrapers in a typhoon area ??? The holes in the building are there to relieve stress in high wind. I'll be in Hong Kong again next month ... can't wait :)
