View Full Version : More People for your city!
UrbanFreak January 23rd, 2004, 11:14 AM Hello @all,
i want to build a huge city but i don´t have so much time. Is there a cheat which do that all people want to come in my city?
thanks for helping
invincible January 23rd, 2004, 03:49 PM You could do it indirectly by cheating for money and then lowering taxes to 0 and add in lots of parks etc to bring in the people.
The first city is always the hardest IMO, once your first city is thriving, adjacent cities can "live off" your main city, eg I have a well educated city and I start a city next to it and it already has lots of demand for high-tech.
Cheating sucks, the game is easy with Rush Hour. The only thing I hate is that my power plants and water pumps still deteriorate too quickly.
Style™ January 24th, 2004, 02:15 AM I do not know of any cheats that boost up your RCI demand. So, the only way would be a money cheat and bring it all down to zero.
Sy January 24th, 2004, 02:38 AM What's the point of cheating? All it does is take the fun out of the game.
There are RCI cheats, they involve downloading a modified landmark such as the Empire State Building or Crysler Building off of the simcity website. These buildings come with x-amount of jobs....income..etc.

Who are you to decide how people play their game?
The point of cheating could be that you just don't give a f... about the money. Personally I just want to build a great city and I don't care if it will cost me 1000 or 100.000.000.000 similions. I want to be able to build everything I want without having to worry about money. This is a GAME, not some real-life competition. I have fun playing it with cheats like I'm sure a lot of other people do too.

Det lød skam lidt interessant Mikael. Men hvis man har mange udgifter kan der vel ik ske noget vel? For så behøves man ik være bange for at bruge for mange penge..

I'm not try to decide how someone plays a game, I'm merely pointing out that it is more satisfying to play it as it is meant to be played and I find games have a longer shelf life as well. I wouldn't have told him how to cheat if I was trying to dictate how he plays the game....

Well not everyone find it more satisfying to play it "the way it is meant to be". There probably a reason why they have included cheats like "weaknesspays" in the game;) I even read a chat transcript on simcity.com with the guy who inveted SC (Will Wright), even he use cheats when he play the game. But as long as we'll all satisfied everything is fine:)

I don't cheat, so to make money i leave i my city running for ages once it has a high profit. Bu the trouble is the Utilities need replacing every half hour!!
invincible February 9th, 2004, 08:30 AM I think that there should be an option for the utility buildings to replace themselves when their time is up. It is easier if you buy power and water from another city though. Then you put it on max, minimise it, and do some homework and by the time you've done your homework, your a couple of million dollars richer.
But running the game at max speed isn't much of an increase from the next slower speed because of my CPU speed, and my other computer (which is three times faster) likes to overheat on hot days if I'm playing SC4 on it.

right on. don't try telling that to some people here though...for them, this game is life and religion in one.
just see my MEga City thread, where i mentioned using weaknesspays a little before Rush Hour, and one guy said, "You cheated, it's not a true work of art." what a choad.
