I need help with infomation on Katong Red House Bakery.:)

"The bakery was closed on mar 23 2003 after the shophouse where it was occupying was deemed as unsafe."
-> How 'unsafe' was the shophouse? the shophouse had a weak structure?

How was the conservation for the Red House Bakery undertaken? what were the various stages/phases of its conservation?

i could only find out that the Katong Red House Bakery was part of a S$15m project. and that its conservation/restoration works were sporadic, and only completed in 2007.

It's still abandoned.

I read that its going to become part of a commercial development. I'm not sure if it will be restored as a whole or partially. In any case many of these weak structures are often rebuilt on the inside, so not an issue there.

There was an article about it somewhere in this section or in the Katong thread.
