New Flash base player from RTÉ. Not sure if they are making their american imports available. You can watch everything for at least 21 days after they air. Similar to the BBC iPlayer but in the Republic we can't use that. BBC programs like Top Gear and Eastenders (if you're into that) are available to view here though and everything else like soccer matches in full etc. There is a new rolling news service aswell. Im sure this will improve over time as more programs are added.

This may be restricted to Ireland.

They even mention expanding it to other platforms like the PS3 and the iPhone! Thumbs up:) I don't give RTE credit for much...but this looks great!

Watch those download allowances though! - this is a bandwidth animal.

It looks something similar but it's not hence why it's a beta version atm

The player is a beta release - it is the first version released outside the organisation that developed the software, for the purpose of evaluation and testing.

They use way more flash then is nessacary though IMO.....but the good news is, one apparently it's available to users in Northern Ireland and they are putting all their American programming on it aswell. No more Real Player...

Doesn't work in Northern Ireland...well only certain programmes. But if you have a proxy it's NS.
