How close to Claremont is that image. I had no clue of distance on my trip to Perth so this is why I ask because I know Claremont was in this general direction.

OK, now I am confused. How is Brisbane Airport the best designed in Aus? they had enough space to combine the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal and yet they seperated them. It's just inconvienient to say the least to have to get a train 200 m down the road.

Another case of Brisbane gloating Jayt?

BTW, Nice pic Grollo

I was talking about the INTERNATIONAL terminal design on its own. Its quite impressive in the early morning mist.

In this photo it looks awsome.

Why, do you have a problem with this? Are you offended because someone has posted a great picture of Brisbane airport and skyline? Does it upset you that Brisbane can look so good?

Fabians Sydney from east Redfern is a great colour shot. Almost too colourful compared to most others of yours Fabian. I'm almost willing to say that it isn't your photo.

I just had a flick at the air quality for last Friday when the pic was taken and pollution was quite low. The overcast weather I think is to blame for the pic not coming out as well as it should. I was expecting it to be more sunny.

The Kogarah one was taken on a day of medium pollution readings.

I reckon a good suburb shot with Sydney in the distance is where the Comanara Parkway ends on that main road near North Ryde. Don't know that area well but passed through it heaps. Top view into the city.

I was out in the area over the weekend and took this from the top floor of the Sydney Adventist Hospital at Wahroonga. It's a ripper view. The CBD is 20km away.

Ive lived in Japan for 6 years. To see the Pacific Highway at Pymble brings tears to my eyes.

A sight so familar yet distant in my memory.Everything from the number plates to the form one lane sign brings back my life in Australia to the forefront of my memory.

I will return home for good in 2006.

I also noticed in the pic, there is a massive new building to the left of the Zenith center in Chastwood. What is it? is it the area above the railway station that was never developed after the crash of 87?

Your not wrong about that Waroonga pic, looks almost as if it's taken from North Sydney.

As for Chatswood, it's the Epica buiding/s. There are two of them (they love twin buildings in Chatswood) and they are north of the station, just to the west of the train line. The big one is about 96m.

Epica is the tallest at 96 metres. I've taken a few shots of Chatswood and they are hard to spot on the skyline from most angles like here at Homebush. you cannot even see Epica in this one (taken in Mar 05)

It's bizzare you find skylines where the tallest cannot be seen from some angles:eek2:

Never Mind about the powerlines. This thread is about showing how skylines would appear from typical suburban streets and settings, as long as we can see it :) Good effort Brissy with those shots. It's not about the postcard shots where nothing stands in the way or capturing skylines from their best angle.

If you look up at my skyline shots of Brisbane, one has trees in the way and the other overheadwiring on a railway line.
