Chatswood - Australia [Archive]

One of Sydneys many satellite cities, its about 7 km away from the Sydney CBD. It is also the third largest shopping precint in Australia, after Sydney and Melbourne.

Not a bad skyline for a 'satellite city':

For a satellite cbd, I give Chatswood 8/10. It also has excellent shopping, and on good transport routes.

Im really sorry you dont like the first pic, but im really glad that you like the second pic. :)

I really love chatswoods skyline- I find its size amazing since its only a satellite city, and whats even more amazing is that there are little cities like this all around Sydney (IMO this is the best skyline though).

Another satellite city called Parramatta is getting 100m+ towers, and another one called St Leonards already has a 100m+ tower.

It is. It is one of Sydney's major regional centres.

Quite interesting consider it's one of the regional center in Sydney

A lot better compare to those in Melbourne where u cannot find any scrapers outside in the suburb !!

6/10 for a stand alone city
9.5/10 for a satellite city

Its got a great mix of buildings which I find rare in the satellite cities I am familiar with, and they have some nice design. Very very dense as well, for a city of its type. Very interesting, although it throws some of my theories out the window.

yer cant wait till these come up
cant help feel it still it lacking a central tower or focal point beyind its mall
Hope the new transport hub will help that a little
but even on the australia standand dont seen that much potential for this one to get better.

Very impressive, especially for a Satelite City! Coming from Canberra, Chatswood's skyline is very impressive. Canberra city lacks that kind of Height or density. I gave it a 9/10 for a satelite city.

Chatswood interchange is currently under construction.
It includes three new towers, retail and new station and train lines.

I'd give it 8.5 out of 10. The Chatswood skyline is brilliant for a satellite city and some of the skyscrapers look really nice (especially the Vodafone buildings).

After being held back by the GFC, the interchange towers are now ready and set for construction anytime soon. The Thomas St. carpark towers should also see construction next year.
