Overview of current projects in Lakrishte - a highrise/skyscraper regulated area in Prishtina:


In 2007 Municipality of Prishtina approved a new regulation plan for an outdated large ex-industrial zone in the center of Prishtina, called Lakrishte - which is now regulated for multistory mixed-use highrises/skyscrapers. Implementation of this regulation plan started in 2008.


The area in Lakrishte has a surface of 58,64 hectare (586.400 m2). The land planned for construction of mixed-use multistory buildings is 435.294 m2. 151.078 m2 will be roads/infrastructure. In addition to the hotels, office space, retail units and entertainment facilities planned for this mixed-use area, 5342 appartments will be built as well.

The northern building complex is defined as a community center with a school and medical clinic, and the southern complex contains retail, office, and apartments that offer panoramic views of the city. Together, they define the primary urban plaza and act as a gateway to the rest of the site.

There are some areas where entire city-blocks are being built, and these areas are transforming and developing so fast, you wouldn't recognise them just 2 years ago. Skanderberg, the same is going on with Azerbaijan and especcially its capital city Baku. There are so much construction that the city signifficantly changes its face every 2-3 months. I am glad to see the same going on in Prishtina :cheers1:

Raiffeisen Headquarters Pristine - Kosovo

Central Concept
The principal idea is based on the combination of having an open public area that provides coherency to the building in the basement block. On the other hand it is split into three parts to have clearly divided functions and to garantee optimal illumination and ventilation for living and working. As an urban quarter it is joint but still independent.

Urbanism
The new Raiffeisen Headquarters fits perfectly into its neighbourhood by nestling into the present infrastructure. In con sideration of the existing streets, the functions are ideally arranged. The bank with its public appearance is faced to the main street as an eyecatcher and appealing point with a little support by the planned fountain court. On the other side it protects the private living area from the busy Ruga "Brigada e Rinise".
One of the most important criteria for the positioning of the functions is the view that is adjusted to the surroundings like the park with its river and the landscape with its nearby hills.
Also the public passageway with its restaurant is siutuated on the protected side enjoying the view and the privacy.
The facilities like delivery and parking entrance are arranged on the rear side of the block to avoid traffic problems on the main street and to garantee a smooth daily flow.

Building Structure
The building consists of one basement block connecting three towers: the huge protecting office tower with its small apartment counterparts. Its structure is constructed by a column grid with concrete walls based on the towers' design that are continued down to the basement. A central concrete core is responsible for its reinforcement. As roof covering landscaped roofs are planned.

Palace of Justice

Complex consists of five buildings proposed peripheral Kosovo Judicial Council, Supreme Court, Commercial Court, High Court for Minor and Pristina District Court. The total area of the Palace of Justice complex, there will be 27 thousand square meters with underground parking for 200 vehicles.

It is expected that the next justice complex personnel work 625 people. While in late 2012 or early 2013 for this project will be ready to be inaugurated.

New proposed terminal for the Prishtina International Airport (has not yet been approved):

With the agreement Limak becomes the first foreign company to obtain a contract since privatization started in the Republic of Kosovo. The agreement foresees an investment of 140 million euros. It will cover a modern, 27,000-square-meter terminal building that will provide world-class passenger comfort, a 77,000-square-meter apron and runway, a new traffic control tower, car park facilities with capacity for 1,750 vehicles and fuel tanks, and refurbishment of airport access roads.
