Tekyeh Mo'aven ol Molk

Ceramic tiles decorating a wall of the Tekyeh Mo’aven ol Molk, representing scenes of Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh (The epic of the Kings, famous 110000 verses poem). Upper the Arch above the door, 2 winged victories testify that the Qajars who builded the monument, took directly their inspirations from the ancient reliefs of the earlier Persian empires: in this case, similar figures are carved above the rock reliefs of Taq-e Bustan, Sasanian era, themselve testifying of artistic exchanges between the Greco-Roman and the persian worlds, being figures of the greec divinity Nikè. Early persian rock reliefs and bas-reliefs inspired the legends of mythic warriors & kings, giving the Shanameh its epical background.

kermanshah isnt really a desert city
it has mountains and grass-forest areas around it :)

^^ Yeah i know, "A oasis in the desert" is something you say when you for an example see someone with a red chador and all the others are wearing black chadors, what i mean with this is that it stands out very much in difference to the buildings around it :lol:

محوطه تاریخی و باستانی طاق بستان ، برای ثبت جهانی به یونسکو پیشنهاد شده است . به همین منظور ، برای پیش آمد این اتفاق مهم ، باید محوطه با گمانه زنی ها و تحقیق ها به شکل اولیه در دوره ساسانی برمیگشت . خوشبختانه این اتفاق به بهترین شکل ممکن روی داده است . البته کارهای نهایی و بازسازی و آماده سازی کلی تا نوروز نود و دو ادامه خواهد داشت . برای بسیاری از مردم بخصوص مردم کرمانشاه ، که خاطراتی از این محوطه زیبای تاریخی و طبیعی اطراف دارند ، کمی دردناک و نگران کننده بود و هست ، که دستکاری حوضچه ها و چشمه ها به آثار صدمه بزند . اما دقیقا برعکس این مسئله پیش آمده ، چون از سال 1340 شمسی با ریختن بتن پای طاق ها و بسته شدن چشمه های طبیعی زیر کوه ، راه گریزی برای آب جمع شده نبوده و این آب اضافه به داخل سنگ ها برگشته و نفوذ کرده و از طاق ها سرازیر میشده است . آب جمع شده در دل سنگ با سرمای هوای زمستان یخ بسته و بین سنگ شکاف ایجاد میکرده و با گرم شدن هوا ، یخ آب شده و باعث خورد شدن سنگ میشده است . در شهر کوهستانی و سردی مانند کرمانشاه ، طی سال 81 بار این اتفاق برای طاق بستان می افتاده است ، حالا تصور کنید چه مقاومتی این کوه داشته که ریزش جدی پیدا نکرده است . فضای کنونی محوطه بسیار بهتر ، زیباتر و نزدیکتر به نمای اولیه آن است . آرزومندیم به زودی ثبت جهانی گردد .
