Information

Mixta Egypt has acquired a land plot in the 6th of October City, a urban development area in Cairo’s expansion. This city is located at 25 km from the capital and has currently a population of more than 600,000 inhabitants.

The Barah project is situated in this city, created just a few years ago and with a strong growth, in the south of the Giza Pyramids near the new Egyptian museum on the Cairo-Fayoum road, at 9 km from the Ring road and at 8 km from the Remaya Square.

The project is for the construction of about 1,100 homes with a surface from 32 sqm to 63 sqm. Barah is considered a self-sufficient residential complex where there will coexist an adequate design, large green zones, a shopping centre and an entertainment area, offering an alternative residential concept to the stressful traffic and the busy life of downtown.

It's as if the carpark is the central feature of the complex.

It does make it look a bit industrial.

I like it
relatively cheap and simple and space efficient, so imo down-to-earth. This is part of cairo, while the rubbish being built on the east side is a rich man's (and foreigner's) playground, which is the last thing the city's space should be used for. To house the people, build 3-4 storeys, plenty of car parking, not too expensive. Thats what egyptians need realistically.

I disagree with providing plenty of carparking. It is a huge waste of space in any city. With space being so valuable in Egypt, it seems a huge waste throwing it away on carparks.
