In my main city, the Sims are so mass transit oriented every rail based system that I have, monorail, elevated rail, subway and heavy rail are overloaded. My trains have always been long but low and behold, I never knew they can be as long as this!!!! :eek:

*Note that the reason why my elevated train looks different is because I downloaded a mod from Simtropolis to change the skins of the trains.

Isn't there also a tweak that makes trains longer? I'm quite certain this exists. Perhaps you've got it and don't realize it?

Something I've noticed is that so many folks complain of congested mass transit systems, yet I've seen very few folks who run more than one set of tracks on any given line.

Trying running double tracks and stations and watch congestion and pollution decline further.

I'm not sure about the tweaks. I know the Simtropolis mod that I downloaded only changes the skins of the trains. You can choose a BART train or a NYC subway, the "Docklands train", a Korea train, and a train called Commutex(which I chose for my city). But the mod itself does not make the trains longer as far as I know. If its a tweak, it must have came from the Simcity updates from the company itself. This is the mod from Simtropolis if you want to download and change the skins of your elevated trains.

I get as much as 6,000+ on monorails and elevated rail but I'm not sure if that is the most. Not sure about those two stations. I recently upgraded my downtown heavy rail station into a grand rail station for increase capacity. In my adjacent suburb, I had to put two parking garages beside an elevated rail station because one cannot keep up with the demand. I wonder if its because of my lack of bus service is to blame. You know I have an extreme bias against buses in real life...;)

Well in my opinion, what happened was an error of the animation, as it always happen, so two or even thee trains got so close that they looked like one, it happens all the time in my cities when the any mass transportation system get busy, on the rush hours.

Really? But if there is another train behind it, wouldn't one show the front part? Note the pic with what the front part of the train look like in the circle. None of the other train cars show it....

Well , what you can do is to follow the train for some time and then you can see if they are two or not, because if they are more than one sometime it will get apart.

Im now getting very long comuter trains on my interurban tracks since a made a long distance interurban connection from one side of the region to the other between two cities of over 400,000 people

Well, this is one reason why my trains are so freaking long!!!!! This Elevated Train station has almost 13k passengers using it and its not even in downtown!
