Luxury hotel at Education City soon
With the main objectives of catering to ‘very important personalities’ and creating excellence in the hospitality sector, a new five-star hotel - Solis Doha- is expected to be ready at Education City in 2015, it was learnt.
The construction of the hotel, to be located adjacent to the Qatar National Convention Centre, will hopefully start soon and end by 2014.
The hotel, to be managed by the Solis Hotel and Resorts Group, will have a total of 418 guest rooms with private, presidential, and royal suites as well as three restaurants with 800 seats in all.
Some of the design and key features of the luxury hotel will include nature-lit indoor gardens, a 1,600sqm ballroom and ample support area, a 1,500sqm roof-top spa and health club, roof-top swimming pools and recreation and sport areas.

love-qatar November 13th, 2012, 10:53 PM what about the convention center hotel? it looks amazing
i wish that they will do the one in the top
ChaoticTranquility November 14th, 2012, 06:32 AM The first proposal reminds me of the Viceroy Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi. That's by no means a bad thing; I think the Viceroy is stunning and the Islamic motifs in the 'net' of this proposal adds a very distinct identity relevant to Doha.
2015 is barely two years out at this point; we'll find out the final designs soon enough. [Although I hope the second one didn't make the final cut; way too much going on there.]
