So I'm driving up to Toronto in a few weeks and staying in the city centre.
No need for a car nor the need to waste money to park it there.

Are there park and ride lots for GO trains in the burbs?

I know the TTC has a park n ride for the Kipling station but is there overnight parking allowed? TTC's website has no posting say it is not allowed but I'm thinking this is not an option.

My friend lives in Yorkeville but he just moved there from Halifax and has no clue about street parking in that area. Does Yorkeville have resident permit parking?

Back in the day I've parked on Church st no issues.

Ouch, Yorkville is probably one of the more expensive places to park your car.

Are you coming in from the west? Park your car at Aldershot or Burlington (depending on which highway you're coming from, and which int'l crossing), you can take a train from there. GO Parking is free except for reserved spots.

I'm coming from the Fort Erie crossing then QEW.
So probably Burlington?
Think it's cool to leave the car there a few days?

Personally I have parked at Erindale and Clarkson because those are the closest to me. But if you're here for several weeks I don't know how well a GO lot would work for that. I think the airport has longer-term parking (although not free I imagine).

The parking garage closes, meaning the car would be ticketed or towed.

Too late to do a more thorough Google search, but a quick Google search leads me to believe parking it at the airport might be your best bet. From there, you can take a bus to the subway or straight downtown.

I've parked it there before when I went to Newfoundland last year, and came back to find her just as I left her. So I wouldn't worry too much about theft or vandalism. You can always buy a cheap anti-theft device (ie: The Club) just to be on the safe side though.

While I have no idea what's involved in getting from the airport parking area to the bus platform, but apart from that, Electrify's idea is pretty good. Getting from the airport to Yorkville is pretty painless via the 192.

Alternately since you're coming in the summer, you should park at UofT.

Depends if you're coming on a weekday or weekend. If weekend, it's only $8/day at UofT, or $10-15/day on weekdays.

For good underground parking, I've used the lot under Innis College Residence quite a few times. Very safe, and nice parking lot.

Since UofT is only a 10 minute or less walk to Yorkville it might be the best bet.

The LINK trains run between the terminals and the long-term lot off Viscount Rd. The line is down for repairs though. I'm not sure when it's expected to be up and running. They will probably be running a replacement shuttle bus.

I'm not sure where these shuttle buses will be stopping at each terminal, but I presume that they will be stopping near the same area where all the other ground transportation options stop. In the event that the trains are running, terminal 3 would be easiest as it is on the arrivals level. Terminal 1's ground transportation is one level below the arrivals level while the trains pull in on (or technically above) the departures level.
